Sweet!

What about this verse? Do you have any idea what this verse means?

Job 26:7 He stretches out the north over the empty place, and He hung the earth on nothing.

What's north of the north pole?

Oh, really? Hanging the earth in outer space is nonsense? :cool:

The Earth stands on the back of a giant turtle. And then it is turtles all the way down.

We're screwed!

What's north of the north pole?

The Sky. "The Empty Place" is an area where there are no stars visible. I gave you an article that talks about this discovery by scientists, but God knew about it 3,500 years ago when that book was written.

The Earth stands on the back of a giant turtle. And then it is turtles all the way down.

That's not Biblical.

We're screwed!

Not those who are in Christ.

My responses are in bold above

I guess we are going to have to present you the evidence for the resurrection. Give me a little while, I have to go to work.

You have no evidence. All you will do is return with quotes from the bible. Quotes from the bible are not evidence. It is dogma.

Man made Satan too.

God tried to do the man thing, and failed after 33 years.

No, God created satan. satan was the highest angel and creation of God at that time. satan became prideful and wanted to be God. he convinced 1/3 of all of the angels that he could overthrow God. he lost. God is suspending his sentence in hell so that he can try man to see who will choose to believe God and who will not.

That's a nice story, but it isn't supported by evidence or even scripture.

The prophets claim that God told them He was going to cast Satan down to Hell, but nowhere in the Bible does it say that God actually did it. Satan was still walking around the Middle East chatting up humans in the New Testament.

It's supported by Scripture. Most Scholars believe that these verses are referring to satan:

Eze 28:12 Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.
13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. {sardius: or, ruby} {beryl: or, chrysolite} {emerald: or, chrysoprase}
14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.
15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.
16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.
17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.
18 Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee.
19 All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more. {a terror: Heb. terrors}

Isa 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.
16 They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms;
17 That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?

Wishful thinking. Doesn't say it actually happened.

Like a lot of claims in the Bible. God says He will do something, but there's never proof that He did it.

It's kind of like my Momma telling me that she was going to do something as punishment. If Momma said it then it was going to happen. No doubt. God's word is even stronger than Momma's. And that is saying something!:eek:

How did Noah know that the entire world was flooded? Because a bird he released returned to its mate and its food source.

I think I answered this before but I can't find it.

First he sailed around for a year and didn't crash!

Second he was pretty smart and sent out a raven who never came back. Raven's can live off of dead animal and human remains. He then sent out a dove. Now doves eat only seeds, wild grasses, weeds, herbs, grasses, and occasionally berries. Things that would not have made it with the flooding. The dove had no other place to feed.

He knew in the context of the world that he knew that the world as he knew it was gone. (say that 8 times fast)

God told him and prepared him just right for the flood and what happened. Why would he doubt that God did what he said he would do.:cool:

God: Noah, I'm gonna flood the world. Buid a boat. Now.

Noah: Uh-huh. Whatever, dude. I'll build your boat but give me a break on the flooding thing.

40 days later...

Noah: Huh. Guess He meant it.

In the movie Noah had angels helping him out and God made a forest of gopher wood pop up in seconds. Wonder if that really happened or if Noah and clan had to do all the heavy lifting themselves.
