The Living Works of Art Challenge

Limited Engagement

I have decided to try a limited engagement reopening of the Living Works of Art Museum.

Gentlemen, I need your contributions. For those new to this, the concept is simple. Below is the image of a classic work of art featuring a male nude. Photograph yourself in your best interpretation of the work and post it here for others to enjoy.

By popular request, I am expanding the window for entries to two weeks. The subject this round is the statue of Achilles Wounded, in Corfu, Greece by Ernst Herter.

Here is my rendition of Achilles:

Here we see the hero, Achilles, sulking in his tent, left off the opening day roster and optioned to the minors. His Achilles heel? The usual: unable to handle the curveball.

Very well done! Insightful and purely American interpretation of a classic. Provoked a very big smile from me . . . .:)
