Snow in March??? Damn you!

It's Bog's way of showing a dislike for the entire US. Earthquakes, floods, droughts, hurricanes, disease carrying insect infestations, tornadoes and blizzards across the entire country. You can't pin this on the orange idiot you elected. You're all to blame. :D

So I think I will go for a walk in the sun amidst a nice light covering of snow that makes everything look new and clean. :D

When you live in the best place in the world..a bit of snow is just to make it interesting...and I live in a little bit better place

Catching a few rays before the next hurricane evacuation order?

Or sink hole, serial killer, giant python attack, giant alligator attack, killer humidity, road rage from being behind a 90 year old with his turn signal on for that last 30 miles and Mickey Mouse.

 Hey, watch it! Some of us scare easy!

When I was in upstate New York, we had snow as early as October and as late as May. Snow in the middle of March was just not that big of a deal.

Why would anyone be surprised by snow in March if you live where snow is common? Hell, I saw it snow the first Sunday in April where snow is very uncommon.
Also saw a tweet yesterday from someone in NY marveling that it was 65 but lots of snow was expected that night, as if that was really unusual and had to be related to dramatic climate change.
The winter of '89 has been discussed here but I'll throw it out again. In Wyoming the temperature went from the low 50s to -20 in about three hours one day in January, and about 10 inches of snow came with it.
I remember a balmy day when I was in 2nd grade (yeah, that was a looooong time ago), where it went from shirtsleeve weather during recess to bitter cold in about five minutes. I used that brief moment in time to try to cuddle up with Ginger Moss.

i've been told many times that there was a massive blizzard the week i was born. i was born in the middle of april. i've seen snow on the ground for my birthday more than once. it sucks, but that's life.

and, honestly, i prefer it to the 90 degree weather in early march that we had a few years ago. that shit fucking sucked especially since the summer that followed was fucking hellish. so, yeah, snow march is cool by me.

Because it's suppose be spring! In my area snow does NOT happen in March. By now it would be warmer and no snow. Very rarely would snow happen in March in my area. Especially this much.

Back in the 80s there were 5 years running that had snowstorms on my birthday near the end of March. April is when spring starts normally in SW Ontario. Have seen years were we get 5 months snow free but typically it is 7. Can still be cold until mid-May. May 24 weekend is start of summer. Last day to expect frost and get plants outdoors.

Obviously, you're a jinx. You need to give Ontario a break and start spending your birthdays in the Bahamas.

Fuck that! Too hot! Go further north. Since I came to this country there has been a noticeable warming trend. Brought the rainy weather from Yorkshire with us. Some winters of late might as well move back 'ome.

I'm just surprised at how much snow it is. I know when the season calls for it, snow will happen. Just amazed at a blizzard in March.

Warmer air holds more moisture. We get probably less snow in Feb. when temps the coldest and lakes have frozen over. Arctic is damn near an actual desert by amount of precipitation.

Go out and enjoy while it is here. Won't last long I'm sure.

SNOW GLORIOUS SNOW!

Got a buddy in Tennessee who has a small cattle operation. Can't understand how northern farmers make money having to shed up their livestock in winter.

Over 300 cars were stuck on highway 13 last night. For 12 hours. 12. I would have had a meltdown.

Seems to me the only extra expense would be the sheds and maybe some power for heating; the livestock need as much to eat in them or out of them.

I'm guessing his can still graze. The money for heating probably cuts heavily into the profit per animal. Farming is not that lucrative.
