Yes. And a "triple date" with friends. Some of my first dates were like that. Works out well for young people. Takes the pressure off of "just the two of you." I think the girls feel safer too.

One of my now closest male friends... We met on online dating, chatted loads for a couple of weeks, so we did build quite a strong connection beforehand. He met me at the train station, he tapped me on the shoulder as I was looking for him, I turned round and he bent to kiss me on the cheek and we ended up snogging, we kinda didn't stop, we went for a drink but couldn't really put each other down....that date lasted about 36 hours.....and for me became love, I'd never had such a strong intrinsic desire that quickly before.

While I think, in general, monogamy does work best (at least for me), I can see how polygamy or polyamory could easily work. It does, of course, require understanding and agreement of all parties.

As a woman, I wouldn't choose to go back prior to the second world war, and when women had less rights, nor would I wish to live through a world war such as that. Though I do love the fashion of the Georgian and Victorian British eras.
