Mack Beggs is a 17-year-old trans guy who's been prescribed testosterone as part of the transition. He wants to compete in the boys' wrestling league, his opponents want him to compete in the boys' league, but Texas rules restrict him to the girls' league. With predictable results.

Yet another case of anti-trans people making rules targeted at trans women without even considering the implications when those same rules are applied to trans men...

Sorry that's the RULES.....on the other hand taking testosterone should have disqualified her. Second; They should have let her compete in her weight with the Boys, only when she got her ass planted into the mat....there would have been cry's of the much stronger Boy hurting the girl....that it wan't "fare"

Sorry that's the RULES.....

No need to apologise, you didn't make the rules, but I'm glad you agree that they're wrong.

Well, as you would've seen when you read the article, the rules permit Mack to take testosterone. Some of the other contest rules are stupid and ought to be changed, but it does seem pretty sensible that they don't stop kids from competing just because they're taking important medication.

It's weird how at the start of your comment, you understood how testosterone affects strength, but just one sentence later you'd forgotten it.

Maybe pictures would help?

As the article notes, state regulations allow him to take T because it "is prescribed by a medical practitioner for a valid medical purpose". Other state regulations prohibit him from competing with guys (apparently only an issue in 14% of US states, Texas being one of them). So the problem is the state.
