The Isolated Political Blurt Thread

*shocked*

Blind spot of a company, that is based on observation and analysis.

CNN has a panel discussion on the January 21, 2017 Women's March, on Washington, D.C. , all over America, and all over the world.

Nine people participating, and only one woman on the panel.

For goodness sake! Not again!
Did the news media outlets learn nothing from the Congressional hearings on birth control coverage?

Do they have amnesia ?

All the other women were marching at the time, duh.

Bear attacks at schools are down 2,839% since Betsy DeVos's confirmation hearing. Period #SeanSpicerFacts

CNN host Don Lemon opened his 10 p.m. ET show by tackling the news with a panel dominated by men. In addition to Lemon, the panel included The Washington Post‘s David Swerdlick, historian Douglas Brinkley, Trump surrogate Jeffrey Lord, CNN political analyst Mark Preston, author J.D. Vance, CNN media correspondent Brian Stelter and CNN correspondent Jim Sciutto.

About four minutes into the segment, CNN contributor Kirsten Powers, who was the lone female voice on the panel, was recognized to briefly speak.

A little truth and some facts, added to an argument.
Anti Abortion feminists were not shunned.
Contributions are not accepted, if the contributors are offered by anti abortion feminists.

Sally Quinn Puts Burden Of Inclusiveness On Women's March, Not Anti-Choice Activists

1/22/2017

For Sally Quinn to attempt to put the BURDEN on the marchers and march organizers to "be inclusive" and not offend the sensibilities of the anti-choice groups who have done nothing but lie about their fellow women for years, is really rich. And to pretend that white Catholics don't have abortions (that's a laugh, Sally, and you know it) and yet are in all other ways the perfect feminist sisterhood is worthy of ...quoting Madonna.

full transcript:

"Hello.

"Are you still awake out there?

"Are you sure about that?

"Can you hear me?

"Are you ready to shake up up the world?

"Welcome to the revolution of love. To the rebellion. To our refusal as women to accept this new age of tyranny. Where not just women are in danger but all marginalized people. Where people uniquely different might be considered a crime. It took us this darkness to wake us the fuck up.

"It seems as though we had all slipped into a false sense of comfort. That justice would prevail and that good would win in the end. Well, good did not win this election but good will win in the end. So what today means is that we are far from the end. Today marks the beginning, the beginning of our story. The revolution starts here. The fight for the right to be free, to be who we are, to be equal. Let's march together through this darkness and with each step. Know that we are not afraid. That we are not alone, that we will not back down. That there is power in our unity and that no opposing force stands a chance in the face of true solidarity.

"And to our detractors that insist that this March will never add up to anything, fuck you. Fuck you. It is the beginning of much needed change. Change that will require sacrifice, people. Change that will require many of us to make different choices in our lives, but this is the hallmark of revolution. So my question to you today is are you ready? I said, are you ready? Say yes, we are ready. Say, yes we are ready. One more time: you're ready.

"Yes, I'm angry. Yes, I am outraged. Yes, I have thought an awful lot of blowing up the White House, but I know that this won't change anything. We cannot fall into despair. As the poet, W.H. Auden once wrote on the eve of World War II: We must love one another or die.

"I choose love. Are you with me? Say this with me: We choose love. We choose love. We choose love."

Trumplestilskin’s first orders of business was to sign a proclamation designating January 20, 2017 a “National Day of Patriotic Devotion.” Yes, that’s right. For all intents and purposes, he declared his Inauguration Day a holiday.

Blurrggghhh

By the way, the 'Wall of hate' won't be completed, maybe they put in a stretch or two, but his WALL junk was something he used to get elected. People just like to stress on various issues....its how they get through the day

Trump won't build a wall......Ryan WONT approve it, it was a tool used, and effectively, to get elected. Why stress over something like this?

What the Fucking Fuck!

NYC, Get Out To JFK! Time To Do Some #RESISTANCE!

Shit’s going down pretty fucking fast-like. “President” Donald Trump signed an executive order banning even legal US residents from seven countries (Muslim-majority nations in which he doesn’t have hotels) from coming back to the US if they’ve been out of the country. At the moment, 20 people are reportedly being detained at JFK. (Two former interpreters for US forces, who are targets in their home country of Iraq, have been released, according to Rep. Jerry Nadler.)

This is, according to “lawyers,” “illegal.” What else is “illegal”? This:

The lawyers said they had not been allowed to meet with their clients. “Who is the person we need to talk to?” one of the lawyers, Mark Doss, a supervising attorney at the International Refugee Assistance Project, asked a border agent. “Call Mr. Trump,” said the agent, who declined to identify himself.

So NYC, do like this nice person on Twitter suggested, and get your ass out to JFK for some #RESISTANCE.
