I still have the bio in my PMs to the first character I played in a Tears game, this spidery villainess in the first LDoK, on The SRP.

Well now you gotta post it here Chas
Chasnicollette said:Name: Mercy Grace Eleni ("The Scarlet Widow")
Age: Appears 23
Race: Themysciran Arachne-Kin
Hair: Black
Eyes: Red
Skin: Palest white (Caucasian when disguised)
Appearance: Slender, athletic. Beautiful, if scary. Commonly wears black, hiding her blood-coloured eyes behind the lenses of round "John Lennon" sunglasses. Has an "hourglass" mark, the mark of the black widow spider, on a provocative place on her lower back, and this is the same colour as her eyes.
When Aphrodite created The Amazons of Themyscira from the spirits of women killed by men, her fellow goddess Minerva wondered at the possibility of creating a race of her own. In honour of the mortal Arachne, whom Minerva had punished by transforming into a spider, Minerva took a handful of female souls and gifted them with the essence of the spider. Ostensibly, these women were tasked with the mission of maintaining The Amazons' humility... after all, it had been hubris which had doomed Arachne in the first place. The Arachne-Kin dwell in the shadows of the foothills of the mountains of Themiscyra,
Mercy has been cast out of The Arachne-Kin for the crime of hypocrisy; she is arrogant and unrepentant, full of sensual hedonism and the desire to cause chaos on otherwise orderly systems and lives. The mission of The Arachne-Kin became secondary to her personal desires, and thus she is not permitted to return to her homeland.
She has since traveled the world during the intervening years, supplementing her already vicious instincts with substantial training in particularly unsavoury arts.
An Oracle suggested to her some time ago that Smallville, Kansas, USA might soon become a catalyst for great change, the key to the redemption of the future. Naturally, being the curiously anarchistic sort she is, she has insinuated herself into Smallville in order to determine the source of this catalyst...
She is a student teacher at Smallville High, though mostly this relegates her to freelance subbing. A number of students have crushes on her.
She has heard rumours of the meteors and their accompanying "freaks," and she suspects that these are symptomatic of the catalytic effect, while not the catalyst themselves.
She is mostly convinced that, given Lex's arrival in Smallville, that he might be the catalyst... but this remains to be seen. In the meantime, she simply finds him fascinating.
Powers: Moderately superhuman strength, reflexes, endurance, resistance to injury, perceptions. Can see in the dark, and has an "eighth eye" that gives her a precognitive awareness of danger. Can turn virtually invisible in shadows despite the paleness of her skin. Can climb walls and walk on ceilings. Extremely agile, capable of impossible leaps. Her powers are magickally derived, so her martial strikes may do a bit more damage to certain extraterrestrials than they would ordinarily. Ageless, but not immortal. Immune to the effects of meteorological extremes. Capable of disguising her ordinarily moon-pale skin with a mild chameleonic shift.
Abilities: Extremely capable at the arts of infiltration, espionage (up to and including deep undercover work), combat, and seduction. Not a shabby artist, either.
Weakness: While she has a diverse number of smaller powers, she in no way matches Kara in regards to raw potential. She is highly vulnerable to venom from any of the Latrodectus spiders, as she has strayed from the places of her people and incurred the wrath of the spirits that drive her.
Okay, fine, but it's a little embarrassing.
Maybe it's a reminder of how far I've come as a writer, and how much I have still to learn...
Reminds me a little of Mordred Deschain.
