Justice League: The New Wave (OOC - Interest Check)

Sure! I spend an inordinate amount of time just coming up with details for him instead of playing him. Like, he has a collection of superman/supergirl hoodies that he sees absolutely no irony in wearing.

Hah!

I like that.

In this world, there is no "Supergirl" by name-- Kara Zor-El landed on Themyscira and was trained by The Amazons, she's "Wondergirl" in this timeline, aka Karan Prince.

Here's the template for the bio, and the basic rundown for the stat-ratings is here. (Those numbers are a bit fiddly, though, but don't worry, Var and I'll help you calibrate them.)

The current edit of the roster is here, though it's still in a state of flux as I haven't quite hammered out the full complement of Titans East yet.

Huntress

(Thoughts?)

:rose:

Victoria Justice?

...that's appropriate.

Yeah, I've seen her do some bad-ass stuff, and she's got a good balance of the pretty/tough aesthetic, she could rock the Bertinelli shoulder-chip.

Did you think Katheryn Winnick was okay as Power Girl?

I floated the idea of Kate Beckinsale, but went with VJ (if their ages were more in the 20s than mid-30s).

Oh, I love me some Kate.

Oh, I do.

But yeah, I think VJ is a better Huntress.

...but don't worry, Kate is represented (at least in spirit, so far) over on Earth-34.

I encourage anyone who wants to to get in a few more emotional reaction shots to the final(?) demise of Kobra.

On Saturday, if everything goes according to plan, I'll do some wrap up and transition posts dealing with the major consequences of what's happened, then we'll move into downtime stuff.

Once that's wrapped up, it's my hope to move fairly quickly into the next event, which should take place two weeks after today, in-game time.

Unfortunately, I've just realized that'll be Valentine's Day 2016. Which Ghostbusters II said would be the end of the world. ...bummer.

But yeah! Let's have some interesting character interactions before the shit hitteth the fan again.

Okay sorry for being MIA for awhile.

Velocity's time down plans would be training, training and perhaps..oh I don't know...maybe a little more training. :D

She has upped her speed over these events but she noticed while fighting Dervish how little she knows. *Dervish's manipulation of her body to vibrate her hand when striking and to shatter the street etc.* Also having read up on Barry and his manipulations, Creating mini tornadoes by circulating his arms quickly, vibrating through walls, etc. she wants to push herself to learn as many Speed Tricks as possible.

Connors (Green Arrow) plans. Dating Danni as much as she will let him. Also getting an arsenal of trick arrows built. However unlike his dad he wants to go more modern tech than old school. (No Punching glove arrows) :D

Also Chas. Is the Atom or at least one of them still around? Had an idea that he could store numerous refills in special created capsules. Was thinking something like Capsule's from DBZ or Pym particle ones. Don't know if the Atom's from DC ever did something like this.

If you're looking for somewhere that Velocity can open up, I suggest The Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah. A lot of land-speed records have been set there because it's so perfectly flat and so forth. Also there was a really epic, emotional fight scene set there in LDoK, and it's where The Six Million Dollar Man crashed and had to get rebuilt.

I've been thinking a lot about how Barry's identity became public knowledge in this timeline, and I think that Dr. Alchemy transmuted away Barry's uniform in the middle of a fight, exposing his face to the public. That's how Wally West's identity got revealed, might as well stick with the classics. I don't know if that's something you want to reference in Velocity's research, but I wanted to put that out there in case it was something that you wanted to add for verisimilitude.

I don't recall a specific instance of Atom's outfitting an Arrow with shrinky-dink quivers but I don't see why he couldn't. If I remember right, shrinking and enlarging inanimate objects is easy with white-dwarf technology, it's shrinking living things that gets messy-- biologics tend to explode when shrunk too long, if they don't have Atom's work-arounds.

That having been said, I believe we've discussed something similar to this before, and in light of those discussions I've included a younger Ray Palmer on the roster of The Titans just so Connor can consult him. If you'd like to do a scene with Connor and Ray talking shop, I'd be happy to co-write that with you!

Speaking of which, I suspect that Roy "Red Arrow" Harper should interact with Connor at some point, Ollie's honorary son tracking down his biological one, but since Roy is off doing the "lone wolf" thing at the moment it probably wouldn't be until later. Would you be okay with that?

from what I've seen on THE FLASH tv series, yellow flash had a ring that held his suit inside. Theoretically made by Atom. which means Theoretically Atom could have developed other microtech for Robin Hood (hehehe)

The expanding fabric contained in the ring worn by The Reverse Flash was a reference to Barry's uniform in the comics-- Barry Allen himself had developed a fabric that expands on contact with nitrogen which he could release from his ring and suit up whenever the situation demanded it.

Presumably at some point in the future of the TV timeline, Barry (or Cisco) develops a similar fabric, and then Eobard Thawne obsessively mimicked that ring for his own use centuries later, just as his own counterpart had done in the comics.

I suppose it's possible that the TV Flarrowverse version of The Atom could have been involved in developing Barry's ring-suit, but in the comics it was all Barry.

ahh, never got much into dc comics. I was more of an Image/Marvel fan. thanks for the clarification.

I highly recommend "The Life Story of The Flash" by Mark Waid, as it chronicles some of the ins and outs of my favorite eras of The Flash in a journalistic, biographical style... as written from the future perspective of a time-traveling Iris West-Allen.
