Well, maybe at some point.

But right now I have plans for most of the abandoned characters as NPCs in the next plotline.

Also, I want to keep the Captain of SHAZAM spot open for UnseenMaiden if she comes back because Billie Batson was freakin' genius.

It would be helpful to have a Captain Marvel of some form or another because of stuff I have lined up in the metaplot-- maybe we can have a Freddy Freeman join on as a Captain Marvel Junior or something? But I dunno about handing off established former PCs.

Just to reiterate-- people should be thinking about stuff to do during downtime. Loop me in if you have any questions or if you think there's going to be developments in downtime that should affect the next arc.

PC interactions and joint-posts are encouraged.

I haven't decided how long the gap is gonna be in-game, I'm thinking two weeks at this point, but that may change depending on if people need more time for their characters to do stuff-- another reason to loop me in.

Alter Ego - Karen Starr/Kara Zor-El

Alias - Power Girl

Age - 25

Appearance - Karen is a somewhat tall (5'11") Kryptonian female. She has hair as gold as the sun and eyes that are blue like steel.

Personality - Compared to certain other Kryptonians, whom you might describe as reserved, reclusive, or even-- ahem-- stodgy-- Karen is far more extroverted. She's a shameless flirt, and she has a real lust for life. Even in the face of unimaginable horror and despair, she counters with courage, optimism, faith, and glee.

Gear (optional) - Karen has a pretty wide and varied wardrobe for a superhero, donning different uniforms depending on her mood.

Power/ability - Under the effects of a "yellow" sun, Kara Zor-El possesses the same potential powers as any Kryptonian. These include:

Bio - One of the last survivors of the planet Krypton of Universe-2 (the universe of Earth-2), Kara Zor-El was the older cousin to Kal-El, and childhood friend to Val-Zod. However, in the final days of the planet's destruction, as The House of El were loading their three youngest children into space pods that they might travel to Earth and survive-- Kara and Val's pods tumbled together into a wormhole that bypassed spacetime and they arrived decades later than Kal-El.

By then, Kal-El was established as a pre-eminent superhero, Superman-- a founder of The Wonders of The World, the primary super-team defending Earth-2-- known locally simply as "The World" --and had definitely become the older cousin.

Alongside a few other younger heroes, Kal and The Wonders of The World trained Kara, Val, and Helena "Robin" Bertinelli to be a secret back-up team should they no longer be able to defend The World: The Second Wonders. Kara became Supergirl, and Val became Power Man. Kal also helped his fellow Kryptonians find adoptive homes the way he had; Kara gained the identity of Karen Starr, and Val-Zod became Cory King.

But five years ago, a devastating event took out The Wonders of The World and Power Man with them, and as a shaken World struggles to recover from this tragedy, The Second Wonders continue to try and make a difference from the shadows.

As part of maintaining a low profile and to pay tribute to her fallen friend Val, Karen now uses the superhero identity of "Power Girl," just as her friend and closest partner Helena now goes by "The Huntress." Together they are known as "The Worlds' Finest."

Notes - This character will be, for now, exclusive to the timeline of Earth-2 and is not intended to replace or supersede Wondergirl.
