Dear Santa

I remember practicing walking the cup, using a pencil.

We have what are more or less vertical lathes with adjustable heads with TIG setups. Mostly light tubing, not heavy pipe as in my current av. Mostly fusion welding. When the speed and heat is set correctly the results are magical.

Please stop! All this talk of adjustable heads, heavy pipe, speed and heat, is making me feel faint!

If you want it fast and cheap, have it spooled in china.

There good, fast and cheap. You only get to pick two.

When I ask for quotes on materials, etc. I specify "No Chinese". This does not mean everything made in China is crap, because it's not the case. However, I do not have the company infrastructure or the time to be sure that the stuff being made for me in China is all good. Just look at the what the dumb fucks at CalTrans did with the new Bay Bridge. I'll be in SF next week and would sooner be in the BART under the bay than on that bridge during a big earthquake.

I hear you. Some of my parts get buried so far inside the assembly it costs big hours to change them out. Not worth the risk.

The bridge or the tube? Tough choice!

Rent a dingy.

I'll just not go over to Berkeley for pizza at La Val's.

This has become common wording in specs and RFQs these days. 'Manufactured in North America' is another I've seen.

Can be challenging, when it comes to some stainless materials, like fittings and fasteners.

I am working on a system that cycles between pressure and vacuum. We are doing much of it with sanitary fittings (dairy fittings for the old skoolers). The first zillion google search results are alibaba.

Fuck alibaba.

Petey would you fuck this girl she's goin off the deep end.

:D

The fuck even is that thing Stormy?

Hopefully Santa will pull through on this one. I just want to play on it so much!
