Seems like it would take an awfully long prayer to need a smoke break wouldn't it?

Depending on the discipline there are at postures one adopts. That seems to make prayer more fervent but I can't imagine that it matters.

If we're talking Christian biblical type prayer, as opposed to say- Muslim or Hindu prayers, the Bible talks about praying over your flocks and your fields, so I always assumed that the shepherd or farmer was out doing business and just maybe bowed his head for a word but I didn't imagine he stopped his tractor.

Feel free to embrace the cause you believe in. Just don't make it your job to convert me to your beliefs. Or pass laws to force me to conform to yours. It will make you feel good at the time but sooner or later your beliefs will get outlawed.

I don't think you understood the irony of my post. I used a meme that said preach and then I later said not to smoke....or pray. So I was making fun of, oh, all of it.

Go ahead and smoke if you want. I don't live with you, fuck you, or even have to deal with you on a social level so what do I care if you're killing yourself slowly - it's not like I have to smell the stench of you nor be impacted by the financial burden your habit incurs.

I have known a few people that sounded like they were trying to pray judging by the amount of "Oh GOD!" an OH MY GOD!" they were yelling and groaning.
