The Teflon of Republicans

Republican Teflon is founded on the lack of integrity in our press corps. If the Press was doing it's job to advance civil society, Trump wouldn't get one headline, unless he caught fire on Broadway.

The press doing it's job to advance civil society is what got Sanders put out and is promoting Trump/Clinton now....(D) tools and (R) tools.

You already have what you wish for you just don't like the other team gets to do the same thing. All they all are is partisan propaganda machines.

IMO the medias job should not be to advance civil society (push propaganda), but should be to report current events in the most objective manner possible. Allowing the citizenry to make choices based on fact based reality instead of partisan propaganda.

What's the need? The media fact checkers do this hourly and post it for anyone to see, as they wish.

Okay, so quote statements by the fact checkers, if they are reliable.

Disagreeing with the economically illiterate is abuse?

Nothing but whining from the precious retard.

Oh, lord, no one needs to cite such statements. We fall all over them every day--including deplorables like you. If you want to recover from this conman sickness you have, do your own research.

I was pretty sure you wouldn't be able to do it. :D You made a statement, now prove it. :(

ETA: I did look for some examples. I found statements by Trump that he had doubts at one time that Obama was a natural born citizen, doubts that were shared by many, but no out-and-out statement to that effect. I also found sites such as Mother Jones making unfounded statements, and I gave them the credence they deserve, which is none at all.

What about the New York Times?

Or maybe the Wall Street Journal?

9.7 percent U-6 unemployment, 94 million Americans out of the workforce, 19.4 trillion in debt, 43 million on food stamps, 12 million illegals lowering wage scales, IRS targeting conservatives, lies about the 4 dead in Benghazi, Lois Lerner's hard drive "scratched" and the tape backups go missing under congressional subpoena, Professor Gruber explaining the lies used to push through Obamacare...

Talk about Teflon.

CNN’s Don Lemon had to shut down his panel Friday evening after former Donald Trump employee (still paid by the campaign) and CNN paid contributor Corey Lewandowski had an outright meltdown live on television.

Lewandowski filibustered Lemon, who was attempting to read a statement from former 2007 Clinton campaign adviser Sidney Blumenthal denying any involvement in birtherism. Lemon tried multiple times to get Lewandowski to be quiet so he could read the statement, asking several times if Lewandowski could pause for a moment. Ultimately, Lemon had to ask the producers to pull everyone’s microphone and everyone off the screen so he could read the statement.

Snopes plays fair. *sigh* Reality is reality, and Snopes sticks to the facts and reality.

So it's one guy's word against another's, and there's nothing on tape or paper from 2008.

Good thing Sarah Palin wasn't involved, or nobody would be able to figure out what was actually said.

Why is the Trump family afflicted by kleptomania ?

At every rally, they use stolen music.
From people who do not wish to associate themselves, or their music, with Trump.

Trump has stolen money from people that needed help.
He spent charity money on himself.

His wife, Melania, has stolen from Michelle, the President's wife.

Donald Trump Jr.’s tweet is not only inaccurate and dehumanizing, it’s also stolen.

Former Representative Joe Walsh tweeted the exact same thing analogy in August.

Trump stole it, branded it with the Trump/Pence logo and tweeted it out.

The Mars Candy corporation spoke ou against what was said.

Can you prove any of that?

The Skittles photo was public domain so it's not stolen no matter how offended the artist is by it's use. He may have clicked the wrong box by accident but real life has no takebacks.

As for stolen music lets face it. They all do it. Obama was called out for using Hulk Hogan's "Real American" (Hogan doesn't actually own the song, Vince McMahon does and to the best of my knowledge he made no comment.) Republicans get caught more because artists like them less. Does that make it right? No. But asking for proof of this is like asking for proof that a politician once said something mean. I'd google this exact case but the article doesn't list what song so you'd just tell me that was a different case.

Didn't we all settled that Melania definitely stole a bit of her speech from Michelle but that it boils down to as republicans put it the My Little Pony defense. Even Twilight Sparkle talks about hard work and family! The wording was pretty damn precise but there are also a limited number of ways you can phrase the same thing.

Sorry, Creative Commons and I don't believe that he had it checked properly at this point but we'll see. Either the Donald gets taken to court or he doesn't.

Trump refused to pay winner of 2010 golf contest $1M prize money

Trump finally settled the suit for $158,000, he did so with money from his charitable foundation, which is illegal.

William Fried, one of Greenberg’s attorneys, told The News the claim was ultimately denied because “the markers at the tee were not set at the right yardage” and that “the course” — owned by Trump in this case — “traditionally sets those markers.”

When Greenberg didn’t receive the money on that basis, he sued Trump’s club, Mourning’s charity and the insurance company that had underwritten the prize.

In another case, court papers say one of Trump’s golf courses in New York agreed to settle a lawsuit by making a donation to the plaintiff’s chosen charity. A $158,000 donation was made by the Trump Foundation, according to tax records.

Trump’s golf course signed off on a settlement that required it to make a donation to a group of Greenberg’s choosing. Then, on the day that the parties informed the court they had settled their case, a $158,000 donation was sent to the Martin Greenberg Foundation.

That money came from the Trump Foundation, according to the tax filings of both Trump’s and Greenberg’s foundations.

2007, Trump’s wife, Melania, bid $20,000 for the six-foot-tall portrait of Trump, done by a “speed painter” during a charity gala at Mar-a-Lago. Later, Trump paid for the painting with $20,000 from the foundation.

2012, for instance, Trump spent $12,000 of the foundation’s money to buy a football helmet signed by then-NFL quarterback Tim Tebow.

Trump used $5,000 in 2013 to purchase ads for his hotels in programs run by a preservation group and used $10,000 in 2014 for a portrait of himself.

In 2013, Trump used $5,000 from the foundation to buy advertisements touting his chain of hotels in programs for three events organized by a D.C. preservation group.

2014, Trump spent $10,000 of the foundation’s money on a portrait of himself bought at a charity fundraiser.

Or, rather, another portrait of himself.

Several years earlier, Trump used $20,000 from the Trump Foundation to buy a different, six-foot-tall portrait.

The case involving the flagpole at Trump’s oceanfront Mar-a-Lago Club began in 2006, when the club put up a giant American flag on the 80-foot pole

The town began to fine Trump, $1,250 a day.
The town waived the $120,000 in fines.

The town requested money donated to Fisher House.

The town had chosen Fisher House, which runs a network of comfort homes for the families of veterans and military personnel receiving medical treatment, as the recipient of the money.

Trump added that, for good measure, “I have sent a check for $25,000” to another charity, the American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorial.

Trump provided the town with copies of the checks, which show that they came from the Trump Foundation.

The foundation wrote a check that essentially bought advertising for Trump hotels?” asked John Edie, the longtime general counsel for the Council on Foundations, when a Post reporter described this arrangement. “That’s not charity.”

New York Times' Editor: 'We Owed It To Our Readers' To Call Trump Claims Lies'

The New York Times recently published a story that examined the way that Donald Trump's presidential campaign promoted his tax plan. Trump had offered a big tax break to businesses, and his campaign told a leading business group he supported the tax break. He got their endorsement. Then his campaign told independent budget analysts he was against the same tax break.

The New York Times called this a lie — specifically, "the trillion-dollar lie."

Conflicting Policy From Trump:To Keep, and Remove, Tax Cut

Trump publicly backed away from a 1 trillion dollar tax cut for small businesses.
Hours later, Trump's campaign aides assured a leading small business group that Trump remained committed to the proposal.

After, telling the small business group, yes, you will get tax break, Trump's campaign told the Tax Foundation that Trump had indeed decided to eliminate the tax cut.

NFIB heard what they wanted to hear.
The Tax Foundation was not happy with the disconnect.

Stephen Mnunchin a Trump spokesman, said the Tax plan had not changed.Stephen declined to comment on the two conflicting accounts provided by two groups.

Is the answer still unclear ?

DONALD TRUMP EITHER LIED TO THE REPUBLICANS OR BROKE THE LAW

KURT EICHENWALD, author

Trump can’t skip past his perfidy here. There are two records—one, a previously undisclosed deposition of the Republican nominee testifying under oath, and the second a transcript/video of a Republican presidential debate. In them, Trump tells contradictory versions of the same story with the clashing accounts tailored to provide what he wanted people to believe when he was speaking.

Finally, the lie here matters because it shows how shameless Trump is and how reckless. He told this lie even though he knew he was standing next to a credible witness—Bush—who could contradict him, and he gambled that no one would discover his sworn testimony.

Trump must be called upon to answer the troubling questions raised by the episode regarding Bush and gambling in Florida: Is the Republican nominee a perjurer or just a liar? If he refuses to answer—just as he has refused to address almost every other question about his character and background—Trump supporters must carefully consider whether they want to vote for a man who at best has treated them like fools over the past year and at worst committed a crime.

Tricked

Trump then walked off the stage as reporters, who had been confined to the back of the room so that supporters and other guests could sit up front, stood on chairs and shouted questions to him. Trump did not respond.

Trump then embarked on a tour of his new hotel from which most of the designated press pool was restricted. ABC News reporter Candace Smith tweeted that she had been “physically restrained” from accompanying the camera that was allowed to join Trump on the tour, despite the fact that she was the designated pool producer, a role that would involve her following the candidate into smaller spaces where full press cannot go.

A source told BuzzFeed News that the television pool voted to pull the camera from Trump’s tour in protest and not air any of the footage. Print pooler Lesley Clark of McClatchy reported that the wire and print pools were “not invited nor notified” that the tour was happening.

Security restrained the journalists, and kept them in the ballroom.
Trump took the camera crews on a tour of the hotel.
Some erased the recording.
Bait and switch.

How many of Trump's trolls are complete hypocrites, when they aim the spear of sexual promiscuity enabler, at Hillary Clinton ?

How many of them use sexist conventions against Hillary Clinton, when they, themselves do not adhere to convention.

How many discarded wives line the procession path, weeping and
rending their clothes ?

Giuliani and Newt Gingrich have proved themselves to be utter shitheels.

Donald Trump humiliated his first wife, after she had proven to be an exemplary wife.

Trump pursued his mistress to the cost of his empire, and the cost of his family.

The rumor in France, was that Queen Elizabeth I, was not a true woman, and had a penis and testicles.

Was it a joke about the Queen of England having the heart and a stomach of a King, though she was but a woman ?
