Here's my story idea for you.

A hardscrabble semi-literate club fighter from the slums of Philadelphia is given a shot at the heavyweight championship as part of a stunt to boost faltering enthusiasm in professional pugilism.

Facing his own self doubt, the plucky puncher shocks the world by going the distance. He manages all this while wooing a mousy pet shop clerk with severe social anxiety.
