Who do you guys think killed JonBenet Ramsey?

Dear JonBenet Ramsey’s Dad,

The time to talk was decades ago. Just shut the fuck up about it and move on.

Love,
Justice

i think it had to do with his business concerns

The attention from marrying Natalee Holloway's mother has died down - time to get a new schtick to be in the spotlight.

i totally heard it on a podcast and then he concurred with it on this interview barbara walters is giving right now

so that makes it true

The fact that he suffered financial misfortunes AFTER the murder in no way demonstrates that business concerns played any role whatsoever in the murder including motivation for the murder.

If that's what you believe, then you need to make a factual case for that belief that goes well beyond a Barbara Walters podcast.

Yes, it does. That's exactly what it demonstrates, dummy.

Because it isn't possible that a business would suffer economic downturns independent of the murder of a six-year-old child?? Shares of U S Steel have dropped 31% since its previous 12-month high of $27.49. How many child deaths precipitated that loss?:rolleyes:

If you want to make the case, make the case with facts, not supposition. IF the murder was, in fact, motivated by the amount of Ramsey's Christmas bonus that year, that alone would indicate little more than kidnapper's and extortionists like to target rich people. It says nothing about the inner workings of John Ramsey's business interests.

Insurance policies??? Stock sales???? Canceled contracts??? Predatory actions from competitors??? These are the factual elements that would likely come into play if Ramsey's business dealings were a critical component of the murder.

Make the case with one or more of these elements. Dummy.

at this point in time, no one will ever know the who, what, or why of this murder

there is no harm is noting that there could be other connections

There is certainly "no harm" in "noting other connections." But one would hope that if you ultimately BELIEVE in the validity of those other connections that such belief would be the result of a series of persuasive facts and evidence.

There is even LESS harm and MORE reason and responsibility for challenging people to produce the facts and evidence which presumably make up the foundation for their beliefs.

The Ramsey case, I think we can all agree, is bizarre, from start to finish. But, it certainly isnt the first, nor will it be the last bizarre crime to go unsolved. Media and the propensity for crime investigators to assume the guilt of those family members or others close to the family played a huge part in side-tracking the initial investigation processes. Because it was unusual to say the least, and because police are too quick to give in to the demands of media for early answers, it became one of the most ludicrous crime investigations of the century.
There are those who will never be convinced despite any solid evidence that existed or exists today of the innocence of the Ramsey family. And, there are those who also will never be convinced that it was an outsider. The fact is, we don't know much more than we knew on day one of the murder.
But, in this country, we still presume innocence until someone is proven guilty. And, one thing we know for sure is that it was a tragedy for all concerned. We, the public, did and still do take it personally, because, it can happen to any one of us...to our family...or our neighbors. For that reason, we still debate the what if's of it.
Is our system of justice perfect? No. Are we perfect in our judgments of one another? No. There have been so many miscarriages of justice in this country that it sickens us all. DNA is the best tool we have to date to work with. DNA, in this case, at the very least casts a reasonable doubt on the members of the Ramsey family as well as their closest circle of friends.
We cannot delude ourselves into believing NO ONE except the family had access to this child. Look at how many stars with high tech security systems, body guards, and so on, have come home to find their 'secured' homes invaded by an intruder.
This family, for many reasons, could have been targeted by almost anyone...and as long as that stands true and there is a question of reasonable doubt, the case will remain unsolved.

Does anyone know when these movies and documentaries start? The only thing I can find is a starting time for the Dr. Phil show where he interviews the brother.

Couple things Dr. Phil said on Colbert last night;

  • Ransom note was written on paper that was already in the home- the killer(s) didn't bring it with them.
  • Investigators said it was the longest ransom note written in the history of ransom letters.
  • Depsite ransom note, JonBenet was found murdered inside the house by her father.

At least two of them have already been aired. NBC did a special report that was largely sympathetic to the police department and was less than thorough in its depiction and characterization of all the evidence, imho.

The History or Discovery Channel, I forget which, did a far better job, I believe. For example, the forensic evidence of so-called "sexual abuse" probably never was. The scarring found in Jon Benet's vagina was consistent with pediatric vulvovaginitis, a common problem in prepubescent girls and for which Jon Benet had been previously treated by her doctor who, in a recorded interview on the program, was adamant that he had never found evidence of sexual abuse in his examinations of her and emphasized that he looked for such evidence closely because that is something pediatricians take very seriously in examining young girls.

A second interview with a forensic pathologist examining the evidence concurred that the vaginal scarring observed at autopsy could NOT be reliably judged to be evidence of sexual abuse and, indeed, the official autopsy report itself never makes that determination.

But you'll never hear that from the Boulder Police Department.
