Do you have a contingency plan in place to let Litsters know of your death?

Say you suddenly dropped dead tonight.

How would we find out?

Would we find out?

This is important and needs to be discussed.

In case of my untimely death I've written in my will my username and password for this site, and have instructed "whom it may concern" to start a thread delivering the heartbreaking news.

No. Should I?

I mean, I have friendships that cross over into other social media. So, it probably would be discovered.

And that thread would be only marginally longer than the total lack of interest if you had merely disappeared.

Same for me, which is why I've made no such provisions.

I'm married to my contingency plan. But I've let her know that my tragic passing is not to be mentioned on the public board; only in PMs to those who have lusted after me in vain.

I have a couple of litsters on the FB and I assume someone would post a glowing review of my life there; that would let them know. I'm also in daily contact with a litster that I think would miss me and try to find out what happened.

And for those select listers discussed above, you have my permission to write a glowing review of my life, here.

Lit would not survive the party...,

;)

So I will just die when it is time.

I'll have someone email Wat and he can tell anyone who we like, but that is a shrinking list of people.

Since 96,8% of you are my alts, it will be noticably quiet here when I croak.

[voice=Frankie Valli][chorus=The Four Seasons]

I'll cry for you...

cry cry baybee... [/voice][/chorus]

My wife will remove all my stories, and might make an announcement in the AH.

I think that thread would excite more people than my stories ever have.

I just cannot wait for you to die.

Suicide is painless,
It brings on many changes...

Don't ask me what I think of you!
I don't think you are to die for.

i will have my sister post multiple threads using this username and to tell everyone and then she will continue to use my name like nothing happened

Just havin' sum fun bro!:D

I never actually read the stories, I just vote by title...

I'll 1 a bad title in a heartbeat.

[They have stories here? remix]

A lot of well thought out answers in here.

I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking about my cyber-friends before it's too late.

I have asked Fata to delicately disclose the news of my passing by way of a short, poignant verse, posted in her Snow And Dirty Rain thread. The poem will be at her discretion, I only asked that she keep a three metaphor limit.

Fata will know of my death because I have arranged to have my remains scattered about the land of her wee cottage, where I will feel the soft drum of Pippin’s beans as he bounds about, and enjoy the occasional posthumous passage or prose read aloud by Fata herself, as she sips hot, strong tea in her garden, a hardcover propped open in her lap.

Naturally, due to Fata’s love of things macabre and gory, I will not be cremated.

And here I thought Hashtag would have been doing your eulogy.
