They're nowhere near as beautiful as the humpbacks with their long fins and social behaviors. But they Are big. Still, I'd love to be in that kayaker's place. Without the fishing poles and with a camera.

Be they fin or humpback these water goers are breathtaking.
Quite humbling, in fact.

Not too often for me! is that slight pink in the bum caused by the hot tub, or has it had loving attention?

Do the fin whales acknowledge your presence?

No, that's why I prefer humpbacks. They're the ones who seem curious about boats. Plus they have long photogenic fins, and engage in gorgeous dramatic behaviors.

Cool shot. Something that bid and that close to my kayak would make me nervous. At least they don't eat meat.

What gave me pause was seeing seals. I enjoy watching them, but they're shark food. Best not to swim with seals.
