Love the pic of the ospreys, were you close or did you have a special lens? I've tried to photograph eagles several times & can never get close enough. Always end up with a white dot in the middle of a field.

I can't believe you took your camera on your kayak, I'm so clumsy I wouldn't even think of taking mine!

Well, I don't take my big heavy Nikon out in the kayak, but my traveling camera is a Panasonic LUMIX -- really lightweight with a super fast Leica lens that zooms to 200mm. Plus I'm in a calm bay.

One of my favorite things about summer is photographing birds from my kayak. So glad you liked the nest shot.

I love peppermint soap in the summer, it's so refreshing... and I also enjoy the tingling. I've never tried Dr Bronner's castile soap but did like the liquid.

The liquid Dr. Bronner's peppermint soap is what I was talking about. It's Castile. I just love it all year round. Plus it's my favorite travel tip when you want to just carry on luggage. The ultimate multi-purpose liquid for your little ziplock bag: wash your body, your hair, your clothes. Use as shaving soap. You can even brush your teeth with it, but I don't go That far!

"recycled" is a word not in my vocabulary, when the sumptuous Mara is being contemplated.
