Half the reason I became a writer is to be able to claim the voice I keep hearing in my head is just the Muse speaking to me. ;)

.

I read an article a while back saying that nearly everyone hallucinates at least once in their life. I've had a couple interesting experiences and if they were hallucinations, all I can say is - Wow! My brain is good!

I tend to have problems recalling what I ate the day before for some meals, but I remember dumb songs my sibling wrote decades ago, first & last names of doctors from 25-30 years ago, etc...

Yet just last week, I was in a hospital due to lifelong neurological problems! I think I just break even: Not as good as the average at some things, far more advanced in others.

I have occasional trouble remembering what pictures I took - yesterday!

PS. Came across this
I wonder what happened to the firm ?

'I say, I say, I say. Your wife not here?'

'No, she's gone to the Caribbean.'

'Oh. Jamaica?'

'No. She went of her own accord.'

<boom, boom>

Nostrum.... I know it's part of the Latin name for some river, & I passed Latin I by the skin of my teeth almost a decade ago.

From the Mirriam-Webster thing.

Full Definition of nostrum

1 : a medicine of secret composition recommended by its preparer but usually without scientific proof of its effectiveness

2 : a usually questionable remedy or scheme : panacea <an audience eager to believe he had found the nostrum for all of society's ills — Warren Sloat>

Wikipedia:

Mare Nostrum (Latin for "Our Sea") was a Roman name for the Mediterranean Sea.
