last night's storm was generating 1000 lightning strikes per hour, and the amount of flooding all around in local towns and even closer causing travel chaos - major road and rail closures due to flooding - and the next bout is meant to hit shortly, with the storm currently building in the channel and heading towards southern england again.

well i won't need to water any plants.

despite the house cameras being turned off, the sit in is still in progress and being broadcast on the net

nice one, democrats

As so often, West is best. No more than brief showers here.

i hope it's not too bad for all the areas already flooded - i'm sort of central to so much of it, and the local stuff is about half a mile away. there was some closer this morning but it's been able to drain into the goresbrook - that's overspilled onto the fields either side as it does, but misses us. the tubes were SO messed up though. some lines (like the central) completely shut down with major delays all over due to flooding.

Drove home with the sunglasses on. Just thought our South Eastern Brits would want to know.

I'm glad you got your annual sunshine.

Hey, we've had nearly four hours of sunshine so far this year. The Royal in Belfast has had to hire an expert in tropical diseases and B+Q have announced a national shortage of charcoal briquettes.
