Short answer.....find a replacement job.

Longer answer: Power trippers are folks who do not realize that a title does not gain as much respect as hard work. There are two ways to handle them.
1. Rock it: if you do your thing and prove that you are the boss, figuratively speaking, you should earn enough respect from those that count to discourage the power trippers or at least up their game.

2. Plan B: If it's bad enough, find a new job and leave. Your value will be missed and may cause some personnel changes.

a little clove oil rubbed on the throat will help with the pain - or a drop in a shot glass of water.... numbs good..... js......
