Latest roster update!
Aussie's developing a speedster concept to replace Silver Bullet and I'm talking to another friend of the program, Tertius, about ideas he might like to play. Hopefully we can get that squared before the next arc jumps off.
I'm contemplating an IC post, does anyone else have stuff to say to Aquaman and the group before we go into timeskip mode?

All right and now for the speedster. Taking liberties with her and changing her to fit into the universe a little better, may I present the new and improved,

Personality - Carin is a bubbly girl that is always looking after others. Perhaps it is because of what happened to her but she is always willing to risk herself to help out anyone in trouble. Luckily her new training and the burgeoning of her powers usually enable her to pull through.
Gear (optional) - Not gear as such, but surgically implanted in her body are several things that at one stage helped Carin with her powers. They are;
Kevlar weave armor: Several layers of flexible but very durable experimental Kevlar armor was placed underneath Carin's entire epidermis. This process bleached her skin white but at the same time provided her with protection from the friction she would suffer when running at high speed, and give her protection from small arms fire and bladed weapons.
Cybernetic optic and aural implants: Connected to her eyes and ears these implants helped her (Along with her brain box) process the vast amount of sensory input she received when running at high velocity and make sense of it.
Brain Box: Basically a high speed CPU that helps Carin's brain make sense of everything she see's, hears, tastes, touches, smells etc while she runs or performs at high speed.
These enhancements were put in by people who knew nothing about the speed force and they are gradually becoming redundant as Carin's own powers grow. However they have made it possible for her to go faster and perform a lot of speed tricks at an early age she would probably not have been able to do, if they had not been present.
Power/ability - Super speed: Capable of speeds in excess of 10,000 miles per hour, but has not pushed herself yet for fear of what it may do to her and the planet. However can easily travel at Mach3 and above for extended periods of time.Her movements, reactions, reflexes, coordination, and thoughts can work much faster than that of a humans.
Accelerated Perception - Her speed also extends to her perceptions and brain activity. Her brain processes sensory information so fast that everything seems to be either in slow motion or completely still, all the while she moves at normal speed. This allows her to track and avoid fast-moving projectiles, such as bullets.
Speed Abilities: At the moment Carin is limited with what she can do with her speed. Running on walls and water. Using large falling objects or moving objects as stepping stones to climb or descend safely. She has not learned to phase through objects yet, but can vibrate her hands to deliver a stunning punch, or to cut through metallic objects. She can create speed vacuums and wind effects by running, but has yet to master these with her hands.
Hand to hand: Carin has received training from a former teammate in hand to hand fighting and is now considered above normal human standards. In fact she could probably mix it with the best human MMA fighters. Couple that with her speed and it makes her a formidable foe. Unfortunately she doesn't always remember her training in the midst of battle, but getting hit 50 times in a second by someone that knows how and where to hit is still going to hurt.
Weakness - Carin is still learning to come to grips with the world and her place in it. While she is a capable woman, she is still headstrong and thinks too much of other people before herself. One of these days it is going to get her in a lot of trouble.
Bio - Carin can't remember too much about her childhood. She has only been able to recall brief flashes sometimes, but in them she had a loving family with a Mother and Father and a Big Sister that used to play catch with her in a big backyard.
Her life began in a research Facility of the Science squads. They had acquired her and others like her and been experimenting on them to see if they could find out the cause of the Meta gene and how to control it. They had cybernetically enhanced some of the Kids to help them in their studies, while others they genetically enhanced.
Their plan had been to get the data they needed then sell the kids to H.I.V.E. as soldiers for a plan they had going. However Carin and a few others spoiled their plans when they broke out and trashed the place on their way to freedom.
For the next several years they had stayed together, trying to stay one step in front of both the Science squad and H.I.V.E. soldiers until their activities came to light and both organizations were shut down.
Now free to resume a life, Carin has returned to school to try to catch up. Her abilities are helping of course as whatever she reads sticks in her mind and she is a speed reader.
Lately though she has been missing the adventure and excitement and the pull of once again donning her costume is always there.
Notes - Carin's speed comes from the speed force, but as only speedsters really know about that, she was fitted with the cybernetics to help her. Now she is finding she no longer really needs them as she taps more and more into her latent abilities in the speed force.
Carin also really does have a Sister out there. She too is a Meta Human but at the moment neither of them knows about the other.

I might suggest changing A.I.M. to The Science Squad, as A.I.M. is Marvel and The Science Squad is roughly equivalent.

--the people who are part of The New Justice League already, which is to say, the ones currently at the meeting?
...when stuff jumps off for the new event, we're all relatively close to Metropolis (New York, Gotham, et cetera) so we'll have the team convene at JLHQ and travel together to the focal point.
The people who are just joining up and not actually on the team yet, we'll have ideas in place for you to meet the rest of The League at that focal point despite the various distances to that point.
Does that make sense, or does anyone have any questions or suggestions or things they'd like to see worked in or worked out?

Briefly, yeah. In post #103 when it describes the HQ, the word dormitories is mentioned. I was envisioning... not like luxury apartments, but places to stay when you're on call or crashing after a night shift, that sort of thing. You'd have a private place to sleep, and a locker for your stuff, you know?

Makes sense to me, the "I've heard it both ways" approach.
My brain defaults to Wonder Girl, because in the comics it tends to be two words like "Wonder Woman" is two words. But since yours is a fusion of Supergirl and Wonder Girl, and "Supergirl" is one word, I thought you might be looking to combine the concepts in the name structure as well. Wonder Girl + Supergirl = Wondergirl?
But yeah, we can definitely play it both ways based on people's preference. I just wondered if you had an "official" set-up for roster-post purposes.

Yeah, Ch3sh's profile says they joined in June 2016 and their first post was 1 June, so basically they joined and instantly posted on our OOC, first post out the gate. So either they were super impressed with what we're doing or... I don't want to think negative things. Hopefully my reply wasn't so high-toned it scared them off.
