It's been a tough week between life and work. All I can think about right now is soaking in the tub - candles lit and a glass of wine in my hand.

after a tough week

First - thanks for this thread! I've enjoyed your choice of photography as well as the others who have contributed. Wonderful, thoughtful, enticing.

When I have weeks like this that leave me weary or battered there are two strong winds that blow ... one to crash or veg or, sometimes to spend the whole weekend on Lit. The other is to pick a project - virtually anything of at least marginal value around the house - and dive into it with abandon. This weekend was option b. I'm still dreading Monday but feel better for having accomplished something.

Happy holiday weekend, everyone! I hope you all are able to enjoy the sun (if the rain holds off) and warm weather. The boyfriend and I are heading out to Cape Cod for the weekend to spend some time with friends and family. I'm very much looking forward to some time away from the city. As much as I love the hustle and bustle, it's nice to get away from time to time.

Today is beautiful. I love surrounding myself with amazing people and beautiful scenery. Currently sitting on the dock while I wait for Boyfriend to finish grilling up our lunch. Got a fresh pitcher of sangria and a book to keep me company while I wait.

It's after six o'clock on a Friday night and this girl is already in sweats, hair thrown up in a messy bun, curled up on the couch click clacking away on my latest writing project. Oh the glamorous life of an aspiring writer. At least Boyfriend is keeping me well supplied with General Tso's chicken, egg rolls, and beer.
