Justice League: Next (OOC)

So....I'm going to work on my character sheet now. But I have a request. Can you guys and gals, go back, and put the *AGE* in on your character sheets....like "The_Jeffinator" did for his? I'm probably -- thinking -- I'm going to make Spidey, hmm....nineteen or so...but I'd like to know what I'm working with, in terms of his peers and what not.

If that's not too much trouble for everyone, it really helps me identify with everyone.....on a fictitious level! Thanks in advance :)

Also, what's the backstory for our characters whom are NOT on the Suicide Squad? There must be some history? Some relationships/friendships, etc? I know Beast Boy and Raven are an item. Anything else?

Just thinking aloud...
 
Basically, the members who are not Suicide Squad are part of the Justice League covert ops unit -- like the "Team" from the Young Justice cartoon. I explained some in Superboy's back story, but this takes place five years after where most of my Young Justice RPs haven been set -- five years after the sidekick team was formed at the JL 10tn Anniversary party. That's why Nightwing is 23 instead of 18. So that means right now the Justice League has been around for fifteen years, and our sidekick team for five. As for when your characters joined the team within those five years, that's up to you. If you play Spidey as 19 and say he gained his powers at 16, maybe he went solo for two years and then joined the team this last year while they were working together on a mission in New York. We could say Spidey was investigating rumors that Wilson Fisk was gathering an army of villains at his manor upstate, while the Team was on the same mission. All hell broke loose, Peter teamed up with the other heroes, and after the battle was won, Nightwing offered him a spot on the team. Sound good?
 
Yeah, something like that can work...I'm going to start working on his *history* now, as that's all that's left on the character sheet!

"Creotia" said she'll probably play a secondary character as well, to help the load of females....

"Aliceinchains36"/"kittenofdeath": do you think you guys can figure out the age of your characters and post them please? That would be super sweet of you both!

All right.....lemme get back to it...:)
 
Just posted my character sheet. I left the 'history' mostly non-specific, as I anticipate on delving into backstory stuff with my go-to flashback style jazz during my posting in the story. But hopefully that'll do! :)
 
I'll probably get my first post up by tomorrow(unless I get super super motivated and inspired tonight!), but.......you guys are speed freaks! Just know, no matter what, I will NEVER be able to make multiple posts in a day. I'm a much slower type of poster, for those that don't know.....

Hope that's okay!
 
Meh, people in the DC verse are almost all super smart to the point that you don't even think twice about it.
 
Yeah, but I find it hard to believe they'd let a girl under 21 -- even with a PhD -- into a mental asylum for the criminally insane to treat criminals. HOWEVER, this is fiction, so you're right, itddoesn't matter :). Technically, Bruce Wayne would go to jail for child endangerment, so some liberties with reality must be taken :).

Oh, I thought the wink meant she was really smart to have finished post-graduate school so young, haha. Alternatively, if you wanted to keep her young, you could always say she was still in college and interning with a senior criminal psychiatrist at Arkham when she met Joker. Maybe he convinced her to murder her mentor and run away with him. Just an idea :).
 
Good news, bad news fellas.

First the *good*. I sent "Lily_Wight" a message so you guys could potentially have another female participant. I also just sent "Remec" one as well -- because let's face it. He's "Remec" and a part of your crew regardless! Heh ;)

Now the *bad*. I think I'm going to have to unfortunately bow out before I set to get my first post. My reasoning may not be as simple as "I do" or "I do not" want to participate -- it's not that black or white. It's more along the lines of...........YES! I really REALLY want to immerse myself in the world that is Spider-Man but the direction I want to take the character......it seems like it would lend itself more favorably in a one-on-one thread, much more so than a group thread....

Does any of that make sense? I know you were bending physics and realities to include Peter in here for me, and I'm completely appreciative........but for me personally.....I think *my* vision for this character and what I want to do with him......would 'distract' too much for your guys' story.

Maybe next time though.....I'll be sure to keep watch of the collective adventures forthcoming! :)

(and at least I helped recruit more people in place of me, if the need would have been there!)

Nope. The wink and the original story work so much better. How will anyone know how old she is anyways, she's always wearing makeup lol
 
I actually already talked to Lily, lol. She's not interested in any group threads right now, so we're doing a one-on-one through email. Believe me, I tried to recruit her :). As for Remec, he has always played in our RPs, but he'll need to choose someone other than Beast Boy this time as that character is already taken. It will be a chance for him to change it up for once :).

Haha, you sneaky devil you! ;)

Yeah I just told "Remec" through messaging that Beast Boy was taken all ready......so hopefully he'll join!
 
Also, since Gwen is on the ship with them, I guess it's safe to say she is from Earth-1. Lachi, you could still play Peter temporarily as being from Earth-2, and then spin it off into your own thread or just kill him off or something.
 
Yeah I saw that "Creotia" did that. If I were staying, that's exactly what I would do. Have Peter be from the other world....

Oh. I assumed spidey+Gwen=post Spiderverse somehow. I don't even know what number Gwen is supposed to be from. Made worse because Marvel's numbering system makes zero sense. I think they just go to the lottery pulls for that day.
 
...on the plus, if "Remec" wanted...he COULD play Spider-Man to play a good 'counter' with "Creotia's" Gwen...but of course that's up to him!

I'm sure what's confusing is we are kinda using the "old" OOC...instead of the new OOC........unless the new OOC is strictly just for character sheets?
