Weren't they locked in a heat vision duel? Why didn't her heat vision just win-out, nail Val-Zod after Hiro had struck him, and that could have been the stun they would need for Nightwing to be able to swoop in with his special net.

You guys are stretching this fight for no reason lol. The goal is to end this bullshit once and for all not prolong it.

Just trying to strike that sweet-spot happy medium between three points: a) making up for lost time; b) making the takedown of a fully-grown pissed-off Kryptonian realistic, because that's never easy even if you have an asteroid of green K; and c) giving us all that Eigen moment where we cohere as a team in the face of overwhelming odds, which will set the stage for our coming together again later.

By my count we have maybe 4 or 5 more posts to go before we can timeskip:

• Rose hitting him with teke, maybe discovering Martian vision in the process;
• Ghost Rider doing a Penance Stare;
• Kaldur hitting him with enough magical electroshock to stun a Mammoth;
• and then Nightwing swooping in with the Hail-Mary Green K tangleweb.

After that, whatever transition posts we need before the timeskip (if any), and then we can get on with other things.

I don't think this is insurmountable. Don't worry, we're almost to the finish line!

Val-Zod is effectively out of commission. We can time skip if needed. Or players can get in another post. I know Vic (Nightwing) works long hours so he may not be able to get in a post (Hopefully he can)

I can forego Kaldur's electroshock treatment if that's superfluous at this point, maybe getting Ghost Rider to the scene was his contribution.

I should have a reaction from Rose to the psychic flames up tomorrow night, all going well.

For future reference, Rose's "Martian vision" is going to take two forms, both of which are telekinetic in nature.

The first is the one she just used-- a finely-focused force-blast. Like Cyclops' eyebeams, it's just concussive force. No actual heat component.

The idea of Martians having heat vision bewildered me because they're so vulnerable to heat and fire-- blasting heat rays out of their eyeballs would just fry their eyeballs. So my explanation for Martian heat vision is that they are, again, focusing their telekinesis to the finest of points, except to produce heat effects they're telekinetically accelerating the molecules of the object they're focusing their beams on. Causing an elevated temperature at the point of contact, certainly, heating the thing up, and potentially causing an ignition situation, but not actually channeling heat from their eyes themselves.

I'll try to make it clear which form I'm using in future reference, but it'll be a while before Rose can perform either kind of Martian vision on command, much less work out the kinks in the abilities.

Karan would most likely be at some coffee bar listening to an indy band. Or off in someplace serene.

The Rider would be pretty much anywhere. A Dive bar filled with bikers looking for a fight. A jail cell looking for a fight. A Church awaiting confession..
