"Who the fuck does that?" Incident @ a restaurant

You haven't been violated. Violated is a pissed Weatherspoons punter cramming a ham hock in your vagina whilst you're trying to order a side of onion rings.

God I love Weatherspoons.

Can't you guys easily imagine the short "Shock Montage" that occurs as the OP stands and seizes the seductive interloper? Utensils drop the floor, a group inhale, glass breaks somewhere on the other side of the room...a stuffy, uptight woman faints and before her face hits the plate Fata saves the creamcheese muffin that will surely be squashed. A slow, satisfying smile creeps across the face of an old man no longer reading the paper.

I say "Check please..." and Des, Lyricalli and myself head back to the hotel.

The two aren't mutually exclusive in my book but if she wasn't, she wasn't. I thought you were going in a really different direction. The whole thing was playing out like one of those "Penthouse Forum" type encounters. Imagine the scene...every detail, as if it were all happening slow motion...
She comes in so confidently and forthright strolling past other tables full of diners. You were sure to notice, but you didn't yet know how determined she was for intimacy, taking the ribs from your plate. Mouthing that bone..you're bone... maintaining eye contact with a knowing smile. Of course you could be outraged, but, just then you notice the curvature of her body and breasts against her clothing, her body language, and the temper that was primed to flare instead gives way to the heat f'munda.

Stuff like that never happens to me.

I love your spin of the events. If I were to turn this event into an erotic story, I'd do it your way. Thank you.

Exactly.

It's like when people mock crack head women hooking on corners or addicts in the street, do people think those people choose that, that they want it? Addiction is a terrible thing as is mental illness and homelessness and being homeless and living on the streets can cause sanity to take a back seat

But the spoiled and soft don't get that. They sit on their bank accounts and nice houses and luxury cars and look down in disdain on all those 'loathsome' people

The nerve of that sick woman disturbing someone's meal.

I've donated time and money to homeless and have given food to a lot of street corner beggars. I came from nothing and now have something, but never forget the nothing.

Truth is I'd rather have a meal with a down trodden addict or a crazy homeless person that someone like the OP, the better than's are the ones that make me lose my appetite and the ones I have scorn for.

There is a time and place for everything. I've given a great deal in my life time to people in more need than this person, I've dedicated years to improve the lives of the impoverished. So get off your high horse LC because you don't know me. I don't know you so I won't judge you, so please do the same and do not judge me sir okay.

Hey how about the beggar who comes right up to your table, just stands there and mumbles at you for money? Happened today. Turned me right off enjoying the meal, until he went back out the door.

All I ever get are lunch invitations with the Governor. I said NO, of course. I don't even know the man. He's dining at a restaurant my son in law manages, and wants a peasant at his table, to show how concerned he is about peasants. So I got asked to be the designated peasant. I'm the spawn of Pharoahs and Czars, and got no time for billionaire donut makers. It is a nice Palm Beach greasy spoon.

Yes, I believe there is an appropriate time and place for everything. I grew up in an environment where eating a meal was a sacred affair, done in a respectful environment.

The nerve of those bums!

That would piss me off as well, mostly because I like to be very comfortable while eating a meal. Good for you for saying no. You shouldn't be made to feel inferior for the pleasure of others.

The world is a better place when we respect each other. Them me and me them.
I have spent years in the past both at home and abroad fundraising and volunteering on the ground fighting poverty.

So yes an appropriate time and place for everything Mr. Gomeshi.

All those years spent fighting poverty.... And it turns out, all the poor really need is better manners!

For the record, I thought the story by Des was better. He showed a bit more creativity and passion. Also, Fata wins the thread with her first post.

{I Loquere me} I was eating at a restaurant just now and this complete homeless (female) stranger walks in to the establishment, I have no clue where the restaurant's Greeter was at this time.

I've never met this homeless person before, but somehow she comes to my table and took a rack of ribs off my plate WITHOUT ASKING. She smiles at me and starts to take random bites out of the rack right in front of me. Me and my friend are speechless, just speechless.

A waitress then comes over attempting to kick her out. I sat there quietly and after the homeless woman left, I talked to my friend as a couple next to us looked on dumbfounded.

"What the fuck was that?" I asked.

"Who the fuck does that?" My friend asked.

PS: I've been looking forward to trying this new restaurant and there ribs forever, and finally got a chance to go with my amateur food critic friend today.

Has odd shit like that ever happened to you?

I'm glad a hungry mentally ill person got a bite to eat. I'm sad that a hungry, mentally ill homeless person had to steal your food. This scenario should not be playing out anywhere. People should be housed and fed and cared for.

I'd guess this person was hungry, and most likely, homeless, too. But mentally ill? Isn't that an assumption? There are many homeless folk out there that are are not mentally ill.

For sure! However, it's pretty unusual for someone to grab food right off your plate. Not even a "may I?"

There are brazen folk out there who are just plain impolite. And others who believe they are owed or entitled. Even Bill Clinton snagged food off other people's plates.

Please provide more information on the Bill Clinton comment please.
