I just ordered a George Foreman grill. lol

It gets too cold to grill outside and I detest steaks cooked in an oven or on a stovetop.

I remember these things worked great when they first came out and steaks wee tasty and done well.

Anyone else use one?

i have one, not huge but big enough to cook 4 1/4lber hamburgers on at a time and warm the buns on top. i grill most my meat unless i'm doing a stirfry or summat. bacon, sausages, pork chops, steaks... the amount of fat that drains away is amazing and they cook fast, with heat top and bottom. i like it!

Ha ha! Yeah we had one of the originals way back in the day and I remember it worked a hell of a lot better than you would think so for 18, what the hell.

Mine is the small one and it doesn't. I have the handy dandy ridged sponges, though, so it's really pretty simple to clean.

Well the most expensive one is like 65 dollars and theres a bunch of models, some have the plates that are removable for cleaning and are dishwasher safe.

I just got the basic small cheapo.

You'd need a bigger one anyhow.

We have one, it works great. I like using it for chicken. It is kind of a pain to clean, as our grates are not removable. Wiping it down with soapy water works.

Well sometimes the grill is covered in snow. Im anal about keeping the cover on because I have an expensive Weber so it has to go back on and.....yeah it's just sometimes a pain to do. Plus if it's real cold my gas gets sortof frozen.

But yeah few times a year I have to cook indoors and steaks get ruined cooking them indoors otherwise.

Perfect world Id have a six burner gas pro oven with the downdraft grill surface.

One day.

Course by then Ill be living in the Virgin Islands. Hopefully.

well worth the money... between me n the offspring, it gets used more days than not. bacon, tomatoes n mushrooms. yumm.

mine don't, but i find it easy to clean. soon as i take the meat off, while it's still hot, i wipe it down with kitchen roll. everything comes off easy. should anything be stuck, the plastic ridged thingummy with it gets it off. you can wash the hot plates over with a soapy sponge when it's cold if you want, but i find between the kitchen roll, the plastic tool and the heat, the plates stay clean and lacking germs enough to do any harm. pre heating the plates till the light goes out before you cook sterilises them.
