I have had these pictures for a couple of months. Never had anywhere to post them before, and I have been second guessing posting them at all. But, I quite like them.

You see, I like rope/shibari pictures. A lot.

So, occasionally, I practice on myself. You never know what you can find on Pinterest, seriously...

All I have just now is plain, white rope from the Home Depot. I would like to get some black or red, as I think that would look better against my skin tone. Plus, I love the pictures of pale skinned women with red rope and bright red lipstick and nails. One day I would love to try and recreate that look.

True, poor word choice. My apologies. How about plugging all the holes? Plugs are temporary and can be removed and replaced by a length of pipe when practical.

And there's actually a funny story with regards to the rope.

I wanted to try this, and needed a good, long length of rope. But I know nothing about what is best, what type, etc. I just knew it needed to be fairly flexible, and ideally a natural fibre that was soft enough not to be too itchy or too chafing (because in some of the ties it was going down and in between my legs). I knew they sold it by the metre at Home Depot, so I headed over.

I don't think I was there more than five minutes, looking at the various types of rope available, when an orange-aproned man approached and asked me if I needed some help. "I see you are looking at the rope. I can help you if you tell me what you are going to use it for."

*Crickets*

How on earth can I say to this guy "Yeah, so, I'm planning to tie myself up with it and take some pictures of me. Oh, and I'll be naked, too,"

So, trying to think fast and look cool, I tell him "I need some new clothesline."

Of course then I get to hear that I need nylon rope, waterproof, the kind that isn't going to get moldy, etc. and he gives me a package of this stripey, plastic type of rope, that is very rough and stiff and has lots of sharp fibres sticking out. I take it, smile politely, and thank him. I then carry this around with me for a good twenty minutes before waiting for him to leave, circle back to the rope section, dump the nylon stuff and grab a package of what looked like softer natural fibre rope, and booted out of there so fast it wasn't funny.

Of course, I ended up with like the 100 metre package, instead of the 10 metre package, with means, I have a fuck tonne of rope, and can easily tie up all the people in the neighbourhood now and still have enough for clothesline.

They are all quite lovely! Very sensual, and I love your lighting. I liked these. A lot.

Oh I agree black and white with color would look amazing and I may have to grab some of your shots and see how they edit up but since YOU don't normally post that style there was an implication you sort of missed . I'll just let that settle in...
