Now my birthday is in May, and ordinarily, I'd be thrilled for cava Anytime, but as I said, I'd had my alcohol for the day. laughing...

would you believe that was my first trip to Paris? my only previous experience with France was around Strasbourg some years ago, and I found it most unfriendly. Not so, this time. People were charming and welcoming, and very forgiving of my lack of language skills.

laughing... well, I've never been to Paris, Texas, but no: Tornado Alley is not high on my list although I've realized that there's something interesting to be found most places. They do have an Eiffel Tower replica with a cowboy hat on top! [yes, Alex, I had to look it up!]

Been to any nice restaurants, or are you mainly eating at the hotel?

we ate only breakfast in the hotel, and had some lovely meals in the Montparnasse district

I'm an AmPics addict. I brought my pad instead of my computer, but I'd stashed some pics in Dropbox to work on edits if I found time, plus others in Imgur. At some point this week, I'll get my trip photos from camera to computer. Unpacking and replies are higher on my list, but I'll get there.

It was a wonderful trip. My knee held up for all the walking. We had some wonderfully informative guides. And the food was outstanding!

well, it was a wine-themed trip!
We had wine tastings at wineries as well as on the ship. There were presentations on pairing wine with food, so this was a special treat, meeting with a chocolatier who made artisanal delicacies with fruit and chocolate to pair with particular wines. FABULOUS

Are you having trouble sleeping Mara? Tempting robe, and I spotted the nipple.
