He does operate under the assumption that I'm white when I've stated many times that I'm not. It's cool though.

Your hair color sounds awesome by the way.

There's only one way to settle this...

Dance Off.

Life of Pi

book: omg, yawn fest, couldn't make the end and nearly gave up after chapter 1

the film: visually stunning!

Really? I quite enjoyed the book. Certainly a unique premise and plot. Didn't see the film. But in keeping with the thread topic, how was Richard Parker's hair?

i enjoyed parts, don't get me wrong, but found it a real slog to get as far as i did. and i almost always prefer book to film, which is why i've never watched the film before till now :) agreed about premise/plot.

soggy, a lot of the time, but better than the boy's. :D

I hadn't read the book and only topically knew about it when the movie came out. Some reviewers said the book was unnecessarily didactic. Don't think I was impressed enough to read the book, but the movie itself was incredibly lovely to watch and since I had no idea of how it wrapped up in the book, it kinda tugged the heartstrings at the end. Glad I saw it on the big screen when I did, it's really vibrant big and loud.

Fate once tapped me on the shoulder and whispered in my ear, "Johnny, you can't withstand the storm." I replied, "I am the storm."

Ahhh...I get it now...it seems the thread is on schedule to turn over pretty soon tonight and will get the usual bum rush of golden ticket holders to be first in line! :D

Won't really be around for it, though. :( I'll toast to the winner when I get back from partying! ;)

The choice is not between being the predator or the prey; the choice is whether or not to be the most aggressive predator.

for me, zumi, it was just so damned dry in places.

if i get the chance, i'd go watch it on at the cinema - the bit with the whale and the phosphorescence, and the storm lightning striking the sea? awesome
Can you stop rattling and my windows tonight then? Please? I normally love you, Storm, but with the dodgy gutter repair we did at the weekend and the window in the room behind me sounding like the catch might break from your rage I am just...getting sore ears.
lol, it's well windy, isn't it? bigggg gusts and a near constant low rumbly growling of wind!

All day breakfast my ass!

No biscuits? NO bagels? Just stupid McMuffins.

Mother fucker!

Also, does anyone have a spreadsheet with the new crop of alts around here? I need to know who to ignore.
