It's time to say it again: Fuck Cancer!!!

Just learned this morning that my very First Lover died last May on my birthday. I'll remember him looking up at me through long hair nearly singed on the joint dripping from his lips, while he played Mustang Sally on the organ. I was 15 and he was 19 in 1969, and really -- all we had in common was lust. I'm grateful for all he taught me.

This afternoon I have my first mammogram since breast cancer surgery last April. I'm not worried about results, but I'm really curioius about how this will feel since the 2.0's are much flatter to my body than the 1.0's. I've always had a suspicion that mammograms are harder on women with smaller breasts.

I think it's a trick to get us to spend lots of time looking at your lovely curves! Not that I mind in the least but I honestly couldn't see any oil after several minutes. Sure my eyes wandered a bit during those minutes but still no oil.

Maybe I'll see it better next time.

yes, the mighty Chattahoochee is looking quite brown these days with sediment stirred up by all the rain we're having. The trails are pretty mucky and slippery with mud and wet leaves.

I don't find your comment trivializing. The squashing and testing and talking about the testing took just 45 minutes of the 4-1/2 hours. The rest was waiting, and that's a LOT of waiting. I think this is a badly run practice, but the medical folks are very kind and caring.

gawwwd yes... but we'd have to use a different oil because this Chinese oil is the kind that gets hotter and hotter and we wouldn't want it seeping into tender internal tissue!

since I don't paddle on this river, I enjoy seeing what piles up on the rocks. I bet you have a different point of view about logs and branches, especially the partially submerged ones. Loved how the heron considered it a suitable fishing perch.
