Haven't heard of Fiona O'Kane either, but I think her version sounds fresh,and enjoyed her slight lisping voice.
Her instrument I think was a Madolin-banjo and has quite a distinctive sound.

well the colors aren't to my taste, but I hope I didn't say they're tacky! I could have, though... it's a struggle not to be judgy! I will show you, but not on Purple Monday. It might actually have to wait until I'm back in ATL because the laptop with archive will be buried deep in the luggage, and I'll only have my pad.

I wondered about the instrument. I've never heard of a Mandolin-banjo, although I have heard of a combination guitar-ukele that is called a guitalele.
