i find the brazen disregard for splinters that is currently on display here both appalling and disgusting.

The temp has gone up 43 degrees since this morning. Virginia weather is as fucked up as Ohio weather.

Do you remember past masturbations, though?

Yeah, the cease and desist letters from the times when I hot wired my vibe into the local nuclear power plant come to mind.

And the one time I did it to the electric company's dam at the nearby lake. Talk about opening some flood gates! Whew!

Right I'm set. Chinese on the way - beef and mushrooms in black bean sauce and an Irish horror film. Not really sure how scary something can be set in Sligo but hey.

Lamb and brussels sprouts for a late lunch.
The house squirrels are out eating the pumpkins at the church next door.

I've been to Yeats's grave in Drumcliff church yard, "Under Benbulben"—but Yeats has not (apparently). That's as scary as Sligo gets. And yet, the storm that came upon me halfway up the side of Knocknarea (about 800-meters) gave a fright as well.

Sebastian Barry's novel "The Secret Scripture" was haunting too, but not in the same way.

I find his writing style strange. It's choppy but poetic in its way. There are lots of interior monologues, and his characters aren't well educated. It takes a while to get into the rhythms and cadences.
