The Gross.. Guilty food thread

It's really odd. I go month, years even, with out eating it, then really want some. ( marmite not the other suggestion you make). I am sure something else might suffice.. Some of those reviews suggested soy sauce for example. Nothing else tastes quite like it. And I do like the peanut butter combination. The under baked beans started at university when breakfast was appalling, but included, by putting marmite underneath it savouried up the beans.

I tend to think its some sort of deficiency when I want it. GIanbattista, however, straightforward loves it. When in Italia or anywhere else he has to buy it in English shops if he runs out and he spreads it very thickly. Which is a bit horrid to see. But, he is very healthy and happy eating it.

Yeah you either love it or hate it. Now you've said that I'm sure I've seen beans with added marmite flavouring. You can get marmite crisps here too.
 
Not me, I just quite like it occasionally!

I don't eat crisps very often, but twiglets are marmite flavour I think? The same taste but not marketed as such. I am also not a habitual baked bean eater...I resort to this I guess annually?

Eggs or peanut butter and a slice as a meal.....more often. Lots and lots. With marmite? Months or years apart, then every day for a week.

I also learned that peanut butter makes a great addition to oatmeal or porridge as a flavouring. ( I do like sweet things, but I like my habitual palate to be savoury)

I thought of another shame food though, quite often ( probably monthly) I just eat popcorn. I like it. Its just me here when I do that. Its quick ( air popper machine thing). Its not particularly nutritious however (though its whole grain...)

Ooh peanut butter in porridge. I have to try that. Love both.
 
I love porridge too. I have it or oatmeal most mornings. I like to keep it interesting though, and not too sweet. I will add fruit , Plain or salted is a bit monotonous I find.

I usually have mine with raisins in and a good dollop of honey.

Molasses is a great addition too, and good iron for the women folk.
 
Animal crackers dipped in marshmallow fluff. That's about as gross as I get.
 
Cheese dip.

Grated cheddar
Scoop of mayo
Jalapeño juice
Minced jalapeños
2 drops of smoke

So so good with a good, hard, sturdy tortilla chip.

that sounds gorgeous. for the first time on lit tonight I feel a little moist
 
My kind of porn!

I couldn't find my smoke, but I made it anyway and added a little pepper. The jalapeños are pickled. Doritos are a little on the wimpy side, but that's all I had.
