I don't know what you are referring to specifically, but I think what often seems to anger you is inconsistency. It has always annoyed me, too, but I have to recognize that most people, myself included, are inconsistent. The extent to which that shades into hypocrisy is subjective, but I can accept that of myself, too.

You have a particular kind of integrity - pure, unyielding, uncorroded and uncompromising. Don't assume that is the only kind, or that the messy, two steps forward and one back compromising most of us settle for has nothing to commend it. Every society needs its prophets in the wilderness. But most of us can never be like that, and unless you wish humanity to return to a hunter gatherer, nomadic existence, we never ought to seek that path.
