Trump's German Heritage

You need to google the news about Mexico, cartels, illegals and heroin...

It seems that Trump is closer to the truth as those who see a positive influx coming to America as acts of love that just settle down and do the jobs Americans will not do. There seems to be no limit to the number of crimes they can commit, for they are the untarnishable...

I'm sure there are easier ways. But this thread is about Trump. He wants the government to round them all up. Stay focused. :)

I am focused.

If you expect more than bumper-sticker replies, then you need to refrain from bumper-sticker sloganeering...

Really? Show me a link to a specific quote he's made concerning that. I've read a shit-pot full of press putting words to that effect in his mouth, but I've yet to read were the Donald plans to put them in camps prior to deportation.

I said it over 10 years ago and I'll say it again. 75% will self-deport given the will to enforce existing laws and a few tweaks to existing law. Of the remaining 25%, 16% or so will have to be weeded out, they represent the cleverest of the lot. And that remaining 8 point some percent are fucking felons that we'll have to deal with one way or another.

Trump specifically wants to deport all the illegals though. How else is he going to deport them if he doesn't have the government round them up?

I've said nothing about camps. Neither has Trump. That's one of the neat thing about him. High on rhetoric, little on substance. He makes great bumper stickers.

Deporting millions of illegals will be easy. He has a plan. It's a terrific plan. :)

Ish, please show us the GB Rule which says that an observation, thought or opinion has to be backed up with "links to evidence" in order to have a good general discussion.

He wants the illegals out of the country.............so do I...........so does the majority of the citizenry. And 'illegal' has NO specific racial or cultural connotations. We know that the majority, approx. 67% are from South and Central America, but the rest are from elsewhere and I want them gone as well.

Here is the Trump statement re. illegal immigration.

So there are some specifics there to haggle over. There is one component missing from his statement that I would like to query him on and that would be the notion of enhanced penalties, up to and including felony charges, against employers who willfully employ illegals.

Donald Trump estimated that it will take 18 months to two years to get the roughly 11 million immigrants living in the U.S. illegally to leave the country, and that he would then build a wall running along the border with Mexico.

The businessman’s statement made on a call with Alabama Republicans Thursday night added a bit of specificity to the Republican presidential frontrunner’s hardline stance on immigration. Mr. Trump released a six-page policy paper on immigration last month, and reporters have asked for details about how it would work since.

The Alabama Republican Party hosted the dial-in call with Mr. Trump Thursday night as part of series with the 2016 presidential candidates. Ben Carson, Jeb Bush, Carly Fiorina and Texas Sen. Ted Cruz have also participated.

On the call, Mr. Trump was asked for details about how long it would take to round up illegal immigrants living in the U.S., with the questioner asking if five or ten years was an appropriate timeframe. Mr. Trump said his two year benchmark could be met with “really good management.”

He's talking about Mexicans, Hispanics, etc.. He wants to round up a group of people about the size of Ohio's population and deport them over a two year period. And you're quibbling over my use of the phrase "round up"?

LMAO, where does he say "round-up?"

Ishmael

Is there another phrase you would prefer to use?

Gather together?
Assemble them?

What, Ish? What would you prefer that doesn't hurt your sensibilities?

The press is insisting on using the terms 'xenophobic' and 'round-up' among others, and it appears that you have bought into the entire premise based on false assumptions. Almost like a new religion. *chuckle*

The seeds of how he'll accomplish his stated goal are in the statement I linked.

Trump hasn't had a problem with reporters use of the phrase "round up" with him. Why do you? Why is that term suddenly so taboo for you?

Donald has a lot of "seeds". The problem is he doesn't know if something fruitful is even possible, or if it will just be a field of weeds.

But he has wonderful seeds! Terrific seeds! Yes, we'll deport the size of the population of Ohio over two years by "doing something that's not called rounding up"!

For fucks sake, Ish. Give the "put on" indignation a rest already.

The problem is that you are making an unsupported contention.

You're telling us what you feel you know...

It could work. But that might look too much like the government forcing people onto trains to be sent off to someplace away from the legal people.

Trump might go for it though. Maybe that's his plan? He has a plan, you know.

So he hasn't said he wants to deport 11 million people over a two year period? I just "feel I know" he said that?

He didn't say that he personally was going to "round up" anyone. He has people for that sort of thing.

They won't answer that question. It's far too direct and would actually make them attach a phrase to Trump's plan. Whether he tries to deport them immediately, put them in a camp or send them back on mules through drug tunnels, someone still has to herd them like cattle.

So he hasn't said he wants to deport 11 million people over a two year period? I just "feel I know" he said that?

That which you feel you know is the methodology by which he will implement that which nobody, but nobody, is disputing, what he said.

If you have that written part of his plan that says he plans to go out and round them up, please show us, for I would interested in seeing that, because it would give me yet another reason to not vote for the guy, and trust me, I have plenty of reasons.

The reason that he has such rock-star support is he keeps saying, I can, we can, while the Republicans are saying we can't (and the Democrats are saying YES WE CAN import more future voters who are willing to cling to and support the welfare state).
