I would assume a site wide change by admins is announced in "Site Announcements"?

Hm, I wonder how enforced this will be. It seems like it might be hard to enforce this for avatars and profile pictures.

As if the photo rules weren't shitty enough before.

I was always particularly fond of the whole "feel free to lift pics from wherever, that's totally cool, but as soon as you credit the source, THAT'S TOTALLY AGAINST THE RULES, GUISE!!1!11!!"

I suspect that little policy coming back to bite them in the ass is at least part of the reason for the change.

I'm glad we now have pic posting rules here as well, until now the only mention to pics was "don't break the copyright laws".

I too wonder how the rules will be enforced especially on AVs and profile pics. Seems impossible.

By-the-way, I'd feel better if the pics posting guidelines were universally enforced across all the Lit forums. A visit to GB can be upsetting to those of us who wish to post more explicit pics here in the BDSM forums, so I just stay away from GB and try to stay just inside the guideline boundaries here. So it goes.

Thanks to those moderators who have shown tolerance and kindness to me over the years.

ps - my avatar now only violates good taste sensitivities, but not copyright laws.
