The Confederacy is the symbol of racist losers.

I'm trying to get people to understand what the war was about. It was about secession, not slavery.

And people are trying to get you to understand that you can't divorce the two.

Yes the war was about secession. Why did the south want to secede? Because of slavery.

You're being disingenuous by refusing to acknowledge there is a direct linkage between slavery and the war.

And the shot was fired over an argument about who owned the fort after secession. Had nothing to do with slavery at that point.

Had nothing to do with succession at that point either.

Again, YOUR logic.

The cause of the Civil War was SIMPLY the confederates firing the first shot on Fort Sumter.

It's as simple as that.

Japan declared war on the US first and brought the war to the US before the US declared anything.

If by declaring war you mean the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor out of the blue.
Japan attacked without a declaration of war and without warning.

You seem to be full of all sorts of misinformed ideas about wars.

A bill is being introduced in the South Carolina legislature to remove the flag.

Japan declared war on December 7th, 1941, and intended the US to be notified 30 minutes before the attack on Pearl Harbor. There was a mixup, and the notification was a little late, perhaps by two hours or so.

I've never said there was no linkage between slavery and the war.

It won't be dealt with until January. And Obama has a better chance at a third term as President than that bill actually passing.

This country was made through a deliberate, continuous, generational dirge of slavery and genocide.

And it was also made by finally realizing that a racist piece of shit like you has just as much natural right to be free to speak your mind as everyone else...

...but you go ahead, "boy", and keep your own chains so tightly drawn upon yourself - you do look your best draped in black victimhood.

I hear dead slaves laughing in total disdain of a bozo like you fantasizing you can even begin to imagine what their existence was like, let alone appoint yourself to speak for them...

...while you post on a 2015 Internet porn Board, comfortably ensconced in a one of the world's highest standard's of living, taking full advantage of that by living your black victim life carousing and drinking whenever and wherever you wish, blah, blah, blah, blah...blah.

Fact is wannabe, you know nothing more about slavery than the average GBer also has learned...

...you simply use your skin pigmentation to crown yourself an expert.

Meanwhile, as you also champion, slave "boy", your and your other statist pieces of shit pals aim to crown majority rule king to dictate which rights every man should be allowed and not be allowed; that by simple majority rule...

...you statist-loving lemming fuckwads can take this nation back to exactly what you love to victimly bemoan about so much.

You are the despicable motherfucker who sold his own into slavery in the first place.

You're being ridiculous. Ownership of the fort was the issue, and the only issue, at that point.

Japan declared war on the US first and brought the war to the US before the US declared anything.
The US laid down an embargo to keep Japan from getting the fuel it needed to fulfill its own version of Manifest Destiny. Japan retaliated by attacking Pearl Harbor.

True, but it was a mistake to attack the US, just as it was a mistake for South Carolina to fire on Fort Sumter.

You've repeatedly attempted to minimize if not dismiss the fact that slavery played a huge part in the war. That's why you kept talking about the cause of the war being secession and not acknowledging that the driving cause for secession was slavery.

It's like the six degrees of Kevin Bacon, except toubab can only deal with one degree.

Eyer lost it after one degree as well. Maybe they're related?

Slavery was only one issue, and nothing the North was willing to go to war over. The North offered a constitutional guarantee to the South that slavery could exist there. The South didn't think the North would fight to preserve the Union. They were wrong.

You're the one playing six degrees, not I. I know how silly that is.

If the first shot had never been fired, there would have been no war. :)

Exactly! Succession, slavery, Lincoln, economics, the Captain who asked Ruffin to fire the first shot .... none of those things or people had anything to do with the cause of the Civil War.

It's that simple.

:)
