LOL I deal with other peoples stuff better than my own. However, my kids not so well. My daughters best friend is a walking injury so I keep a pretty well stocked first aid kit for her. It was funny as I was bandaging my son up yesterday one of the boys asked why I had so many medical supplies (most are left over from my Dad before he passed away) and I told him that it was for his sister.. (they were almost half siblings so they still call each other brother and sister)

Welcome to my world. The school and many others at the old school district had me on ignore while I had them on speed dial. AS much as I hated all of them, they hated me much more and probably still do.

LOL I Just explained it to Icy so I'll cut and paste....
my daughter is leaving this weekend for a trip in Canada with her school for a marching band competition. I was originally going to go since I still have my passport. But found out I wouldn't even be able to stay with them and would have to follow the bus around Canada.
Anyway. We applied for her passport in March and since she is a minor, they took my info too. Well apparently they didn't send my info in. So The Government sent me paperwork saying they needed my info, which then slowed things down. She still doesn't have her passport so I called on it. When you apply, you have to send in the original birth certificate, then they send it back to you with the passport.
I found out yesterday that as a minor, she only needs her birth certificate and ID. (Passport stuff was close to $150.00) so I'm pissed. That could have saved me some money had I known that. Not only did the stupid school fail to mention this, but now the Government has her birth certificate, so I have to go into town and get a new birth certificate, so I have to spend more money to get that. Or I pay $75.00 to expedite the passport.

I'm pretty sure I'm suppose to say the day ended good because I did not pull my gun out once today and not even retail therapy made it better. But I kid you not.. a half hour after I purchased her birth certificate, the passport people called me back to tell me that the information I'd been given that morning ($75 to expedite her stuff) was wrong. That her passport was ready and waiting to be mailed. So if I wanted to pay for expedited shipping ($15.00) they could over night it. So I just purchased a birth certificate, and now they can ship her passport cheaper then the birth certificate.
3 transfers and 2 disconnections later, I purchased the darn expedited shipping.
So now, by tomorrow, I should have her passport, plus a shiny new birth certificate.
The lady who screwed up the order at town hall called me back (I had left a message early this morning) and asked if I had gotten an answer to my question. I said "My only advice to you right now, would be to hang up the phone before I flip the fuck out on you"
So... retail therapy....
So I just purchased a birth certificate, and now they can ship her passport cheaper then the birth certificate. 3 transfers and 2 disconnections later, I purchased the darn expedited shipping.
So now, by tomorrow, I should have her passport, plus a shiny new birth certificate.
