By kids do you mean under 16? Then no! It's not a kids movie.
I saw it at a theater where the audience acted out the movie in front of the screen. It's a classic! It's launched the careers of many many stars!! Susan Sarandon, Meatloaf, and others....
Rent it on DVD or see if it's on Netflix or Hulu. It's funny.... and flopped on its original release until it started showing up at theaters for the weekend midnight movie and it became a cult classic!
