Obama Vetos Keystone Pipeline Bill

China burns 4 billion tons of coal a year, the US, 1 billion. Coal is dirty, it pollutes and destorys the earth. But cant we sell our coal to china?

No, because it's under private property and you wanna do mountaintop removal. You want to find a way to do that without destroying my groundwater, causing sinkholes in my land, posioing my breathing air, leveling my hunting forest-

What's that?
Cash money?

...you know what, nevermind, do whatever you want. Come on kids, we're gonna go buy multiple four wheelers, take a Gatlinburg vacation then come back and realize that we've made a terrible mistake.

Senate attempted to override President Obama's veto of Keystone Pipeline Boondoggle today.

They needed 67 votes to override (due to that pesky Constitution) and only got 62 votes.

The bill is officially dead and buried.

Democracy, unlike fatass Vetteman, works.

Is that part of Obama's energy policy that has had the intention and the effect of lowering oil prices to a 5 1/2 year low?

But the American stinker polled 100% of Americans wanted Obamacare gawn!!

That proves this is just another example of Obama's unchecked and ruthless tyranny!!

/vettemode:D

LMFAO!!

Sure is dummy... Thank you Uncle Obama!!

We're pumping so much oil, ain't got anywhere to put it!!! Now THAT is genius governing right there!! Much better than that worthless fuck in charge before Obama that nearly ran the country completely into the ground.

Obama! Obama! Obama!

No worries....the government will figure out a way to jack those prices up where they belong. Isn't that what liberals want?

Im sure they are working on this already....

Nope. But it's what smart businessmen want. The oil companies are taking a beating on this.

Im sure they are working on this already....

I'm sure they are, and honestly I expect that once this Russia thing either ends completely or at least gets far enough down the list of priorities for the average American we'll start seeing this creep back up.

They excel at finding solutions to nonexistent problems.

When? I've never seen a liberal go after a non-existant problem and I see all around me things like income inequality that they refuse to touch.

Democrats prove once again that silver ponytails in San Francisco are their main constituency, not the American people ot the economy.

Well the economy shouldn't take priority and the American left are Americans despite your rampant claims otherwise.

Democrats prove once again that silver ponytails in San Francisco are their main constituency,

Uhhhh.....that's where a lot of their votes/money come from...

Who the fuck else did you think votes for/gives mega millions to (D)?

The other super rich liburhul towns?

YOU DON'T SAY!!

NO SHIT!!!

That's just unbelievably crazy vettte....

not the American people ot the economy.

And suddenly SF, it's bazzilionz of fuckin' dollars and millions of people are no longer part of the US or it's economy because vettey doesn't like them and sayz so.

LOL You gonna arbitrarily excommunicate NYC, Miami, Houston, Dallas, Austin, Chicago, Denver, Portland, Seattle and LA too?? Or will they have to wait until you lose another one?

If you look at the polling of City vs Rural he'd eventually have to excommunicate any city you can actually spot on a map.

Look jarhead, you are going to have to live with it whether you like it or not. That's just the way it is. Urban politics have pretty much always trumped rural politics whether you like it or not. Urban people pretty much don't care about what goes on in the rural/farmland areas unless it effects the food supply.

They, for the most part, look down on the folks who actually work the land as a bunch of ill bred bumkins.

Which isn't fair since all the ill bred bumpkins have been bought out by huge corporations over the last few decades. The majority of the people working the farm hands are a combination of guest workers and illegals and. . .within reason I don't care and have no problem admitting it.

We'll only have to live with as long as Obama or any Democrat is in the White House.

So definitely another two years, likely another six if you don't get your shit together? At least history tells us you're do for a win after that.

I don't know what planet you are on but it has always been this way. At least for the last 20 years or so. As far as Obama, I may not like a lot of the administrations policies, but it isn't all that much worse than the other fucksticks that have been in office over the last 20 years.

Oh yea but the big'unz are the strongholds.

Shit....RW'ers and rural folk look down on other rural folks who actually work the land (unlike most of the agracultural industry which sits their fat ass's in a chair all day. Unless they grow the same crops then it's ok!!

What the will of the American people? We know you fucking LOATHE that shit....

The tiniest of parts.

BAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA keep lying to yourself partisan hack....:D

Don't think that is exclusive to RW'ers, but you can put whatever partisan label you want to it. Funny thing is there are not very many of those "big corporate farms" that others rail about on this side of the hills. Most of what we have here are 100 acre or less crop farmers, dairy, grass fed cattle and the so called "organic" farms.

(Side note: I have to laugh over the "organic" craze. The big city folks fall all over themselves for all that "organic" produce and the reality is the crop isn't grown that much different from otherwise. Less petrochem, you slap an ORGANIC label on it and get to sell it for double the "normal" price. What a racket, eh?)

They had to literally tell us not to work children to death. We don't have a leg to stand on. They also built us new schools, bailed out our major employers, and continue to let us factory farm even tho it's super fucked up and they shouldn't. They didn't crack down on illegal migrant workers like they said they were going to.

They look down on us because we're horrible people. Maybe, just maybe, if we started to value intellect, rather than saying that education makes someone an "elitist", or to invest in our children's education instead of embarrassing ourselves in from of God and Bill Nye while we continue to lie to our kids and hold them back so that they can work the fields and play sportsball, or if we stopped spending all our money trying to revitalize dead industries like coal and instead looked to the future they'd stop looking down on us. They think that we're idiots because we constantly act like idiots. WE NEED TO STOP THIS SHIT.

Jesus fucking Christ you know jack shit about how hard it is to get that "organic" label. Just shut the fuck up and stop trying to talk for people you've never met. Organic crops are not grown similar to factory farm crops, and there are so many tiny things that can get that label taken away. Organic meat certification is damn near impossible. Organic farmers work their fucking asses off. You cannot factory farm and get an organic label. You can't use seed-stock and get an organic label.
