It was naive of her to think no one on a site this size would ever put two and two together, especially considering that she posted a lot, didn't mind making enemies, and her real name was part of her username here.

Even if this is how somebody pieced it together, the way that the story came out on the board still suggests that the informant was someone who had been close to her, someone with whom she had built trust before. Someone that she likely had personal information about, too.

Otherwise, why would they go through the trouble of making a Deep Throat alt to secretly give information to people who they hoped would make it public? Why didn't Deep Throat post the information himself? And if it were a random person with no stake in the board, how did they know who to feed the information to?

The "somebody" in question was some teenage guy(s) named FloridaCouple here, he fed a constant stream of gossip to several people and SeanH bit hard on it. Query only dreams of manipulating people that way.

I don't know shit about World of Warcraft but there was some connection between Grace and FloridaCouple from there. Same team, same server, some shit like that.

Grace was followed to Lit by someone in her personal life, who was determined to make her as miserable as possible. The GB was happy to comply. This person, or persons, put information about her arrest in several places on the web, where her name would appear in google searches.
