I raised 2 successful children, all without that "white privilege" I am suppose to have. Working hard and making the grades and getting the academic scholarships helped my children get to where they are now in life.

I grew up poor, with a shitty home life, and with a bastard of a father...I chose to get myself out of that and give my children a better life. So, I did. I chose to be better, and anyone else can too.

I believe in opportunity, and making your own way in this world. I believe in personal responsibility, and I think everyone is contributing to the way our world is today and the mess it is in...even the ones who yell race. They are doing their part to fuck this world up too.

Well, I am anti-apple products. I am not one of those who stand in line to buy a new IPhone. that's just silly. I refuse to own anything Apple...lol. I love my Android and my PC. I'll stick with those.

Don't be stupid on purpose. Educate yourself on what white privilege actually is before you try to use it in a sentence. It actually helps explain why you think that everything is merit based. It's because you have the luxury to think that. Because you have it, and have always had it, you assume it doesn't exist. You assume that what you got from society was achieved by your innate hard work, because you have the luxury to be blinded to the obstacles that other people have to overcome. There's no shame in thinking that. There's shame in continuing to think that.

White privilege doesn't mean that you don't have problems, it means that you don't experience racism and the problems that come with them. It means that you aren't institutionally discriminated against based on your race. Being white doesn't make your life perfect, but we all don't start out with an even playing field.

I, for example, am white passing, have a white-sounding name, and a androgenous, gorgeous body. I fit in the western beauty standard. I have a criminal record, and because I have all those advantages, those privileges, I still get jobs. I still get into college. You take even one of those building blocks away and I might not get that. I didn't have a perfect life. I can tell you my sob story too. But I'm not so egotistical not to recognize the help I got from society.

For everybody that doesn't know, Glasglow's claim to fame is that they reenact Highland games every year. Anyone who lives there would know because they close the roads down and it's a major tourist thing. In every pm she's sent me she keeps building this more elaborate lie. And I don't know why she keeps picking specific places without researching them, but she's been getting everything from geography to social functions just completely wrong.
