Interesting. I had a similar impression, though perhaps not as definite. I would have edited out some of those cues just in order to avoid giving anyone that impression, if that were not the intent. Although, in another post he says he's married, that he flirts, but would never act on it.cg_allstar said:You're right. I should have read the whole thing before passing judgement.
It is now my opinion that he's hitting on her. "Fatherly advice?" "One of the smartest young women around?" "I would be happy to discuss an internship in one of my offices in California." Would this be a Monica-type internship?
The very beginning reads, "When I first started paying more than passing attention to Miss Kraft when she entered some messages about the legal system, some U.S. Supreme Court cases, and some comments regarding the passing of an elderly member of the U.S. Senate." But it looks from his posting history like he was paying "more than passing attention to Miss Kraft" from about day one.
(This part, though: "don’t mistake internet chat and message board sparring for reality" shows someone clearly out of touch. — This is the only reality and we all know it. That's why we're here.)
Though the ending does wax a bit, his post is well-written, clear, and easy to read, and contains some good advice. But if it's an invitation to a "Monica-type internship," as you suggest, then hopefully Karen's into electricity:
