I saw an interesting article by the Washington Post about a census report a few months ago, and quoted the headline of the Post word for word as a thread starter, and linked to it, etc. Recently I saw another interesting article about updated information from the Census Bureau along the same lines and added it to the thread. It's no surprise that the number of white people dying are going up precipitously compared to births. As has already been mentioned, the "Baby Boomers" are reaching retirement age and are beginning to die off.

Naturally death rates are going to go up, just as birth rates shot up when they were all born.
