I used to think that, but really no one can tell you what you cannot do with your own life.

Forces beyond my control - like the weather - excite me; maybe that is why I like women so much.

for a moment i just thought someone's shovelling snow outside. then i realised it's summer

"You are invited to a party given by Sam and I on June 3rd."

I thought that it was supposed to be Sam and me, but I keep seeing people write it as Sam and I.

Am I wrong?

yeap apparently. I also say Sam and I (as it sounds right). Correct grammar has it as Sam and me. I forget the reason (bla bla bla when it's explained) but the joy of English is that actually it's only the pedants that give a toss!
So write what you like!

Well, if you change the wording of the sentence, I can see how it could be Sam and I.

I am confused. And I realize how much of a nerd I am.

It's Sam and I because if you switch it round it still makes sense eg Sam and I invite you

You wouldn't say Sam and me invite you, well you might...but you'd be wrong :D

*pedantry rocks*

If Sam and I were the object of the verb it would be "me" eg he invited Sam and me to the party

*bores self*

Must go talk sex now

You can be a pedant and wrong?:D

Me and Sam could invite - Sam and me invite (works)
I and Sam would invite - Same and I (merrwh?)

Not so much :D

If it's the subject of the verb it's I not me, even if it sounds right in your head

ouch

I cannot believe you brought a dictionary to this fight! (even if it is an on-line one)

They pull a knife, you pull a gun. He sends one of yours to the hospital, you send one of his to the morgue.

I was just being helpful
