Thoughts

There was a time when I thought I got what it was all about
It was easy for me to see the meaning of all existence
It was a simple truth, to leave this world better because we were here

But what it meant to be better changed
What it meant to be the change differed
And of the worst, the world, my world, got smaller

There were times when I worried about the reverse
I questioned if the world could be worse for what I do
And the fear was a time would come when I just get out of the way

What I do now is accept that purpose comes from being
Realize the world is broke and appreciate it while it still exists
Most of all to not hate what it isn't, but love what it is
