The issue is not about a porn star or America, it's about internet bullying. This is different from the kind you experienced as a kid in school. And social media helps take this form of bullying to a whole new level where even moving doesn't help a kid much.

This, and there's the fact that a lot of these bullies consume porn on the downlow. You can't fap to porn stars and then treat them like crap, that's outright hypocrisy. Porn stars have to face discrimination when they try to get a job, and that is worth addressing. This goes way past just bullying, which is sickening enough.
