When you tell your tale of 'falling', I surely hope it is well illustrated. Love that thigh muscle you are showing (and the breast works well, as well)!

there you go I finally realize why I was taught to float on my back at swimming class
who said school was a waste of time

Isn't nature grand! Looks a good place to live.

I do feel fortunate to have the creek in the backyard and the river so near

Can't help being a fool for a near naked Mara. Have you ever been spotted in the nudie?

well, actually... just Wednesday when these pictures were taken, we encountered a gardener working on a groomed lawn that stretches down to the creek several hundred yards upstream. I did have my shirt on, but bottom was visible if he bothered to look. My pace is rather stately, striding knee-deep in those boots, feeling for the bottom, so I did not beat a quick retreat, though I did turn tail [so to speak].

I've often wondered if my elderly neighbor spends any time with binoculars because he could have gotten an eyeful when I was posing in the Irish cloak, tied to various trees with silk scarves. I can see his windows and porch, so presumably he can see me. He winks when we encounter each other, but has never said anything...

that's just magic, reminds of a friends farm in northern new south wales australia

someday I am going to make it to Australia, I truly hope...
glad you like what you see...

Sexy in and by the creek. Very pretty setting for a sexy lady.

thanks, Saxon

mara,

I would just like to remind you that where I live is surrounded by beautiful waters
and there are numerous rivers and streams that are great for exploration.

Have a great day lovely lady.

yes, Ric, dear Island Man, I do remember.... but I think of the Caribbean, not the rivers and streams for exploration... you are giving me Ideas, and you know how I like that!

Watch those cotton mouths and copperheads if you have them down there

I was looking at google images, and pretty sure it was a cottonmouth/water moccasin, probably a juvenile, that I saw Wednesday. I've heard that juveniles give more dangerous bites because they haven't learned to regulate the venom dispensed and give it All.

Eeeeks!

Our kinda Woman

loving your approval!

These conjure some very interesting fantasies....

now that's what I like to hear, Tyler
nothing like the great outdoors to liven things up!

mmm -- love that!

thanks, darlin'

well there was truly a fall, but not down the falls
the fall was not captured pictorially, but there are enough shots to illustrate the story

and I appreciate the attention to detail of thigh muscle
I really like that photo

YAY you! finding the bright side of long lost lessons
you're inspiring me to put together a picture post

let me know when you do, I give you and yours a wonderful guided tour

So here I am at the top of the waterfall in our creek. You can see the force of the water against my left boot. It's pretty shallow right there, but the rocks are slick with algae, as I learned to my chagrin.

I was feeling my way to dry rock when, despite the Vibram soles on my NEOS, my feet began to slide sideways toward the edge. This isn't a deep waterfall, the drop is maybe 6-8 feet, but goodness are there lots of boulders and rocks. I couldn't stop myself from sliding so I just threw myself down onto the rock so I could grab on, and not slide over the edge into the rocks below. Came down on my right hip, but was able to work up onto hands and knees and crawl to dry rock. I'll probably have a bruise, but hey, I avoided broken bones.

At least I wasn't alone out there. I was imagining the questions from fire/rescue though, if they had to climb down the creek to the waterfall to lift me out with a broken leg. hmmm... what is this woman doing here bare-bottomed in boots??!

I am making a note!
may well take you up on that... thanks

I don't believe you are anywhere near 60, besides which your beauty is timeless.

truly am 60
thanks for kind words

Please don't risk life & limb for the sake of titillating your many admirers.

oh darlin' ~ you're sweet to worry but really
I do it for ME

the risks, the exhibitionism feed me
you're just lucky I share

Be honest, would you love big strong fire/rescue you men picking you up

ONLY as a rescue fantasy from a dreamworld of water, rocks, and green
not at all in reality

not at all interested in a broken leg
I am a walker... and not being able to walk would make me most unhappy

Such beautiful photos you sexy Momma.

bound to be a good time...

no office towers overlooking me, but I do have neighbors with windows and back porches -- thanks for telling me about the lawyer with the telescope. I've often thought, well if they have to work for the view, they deserve it!

I love being called daring... thank you.

glad you are playing along, Druce!

thanks for "daring" -- and for kind words about me and the beauty of nature. I love being in or on the water, and I swear it's ten degrees cooler back there.

I have a story to tell of falling, but not down the falls -- mossy rocks... adventure...

thanks, m'dear!

Do tell. Either here or in PMs.

Great pics!!!! Although, I must say, you need to think of safety when traversing rocks. More injuries occur to whitewater kayakers that are walking on rocks than to those kayaking. Someone once asked me why I kept my PFD and helmet on when we were walking around on rocks and that was my answer.

I'm glad you came out with no broken limbs. Scary shit!! As much as the thought of you skinny-dipping turns me on, no amount of titillation is worth an injury.

thanks, Shane -- love that phrase from you...

I do believe I learned a lesson. I'm usually more cautious about footing. I'm the one who sits down to jump down three feet. I was determined to get close to that waterfall. Next time I'll either be crawling or spider-walking. Got lots of pics while I was there, so it felt worthwhile...

Mara....I would play with you all day long.... ;)

awwww, Druce, you're melting me...

I usually lead a pretty drama-free life, so sliding on the rocks got my heartbeat up. I was determined to settle on that perfect rock... the color worked perfectly with my boots. Once I was there, I settled in for lots of pics.

Mission accomplished, as other idiots have said. [yes, I'm owning I was an idiot here, but this is true penitence to be comparing myself to That Idiot]

Great view!!!!;) So tell me this, did you see a clean line for me to stomp in my kayak?:D

Sorry, Jason! I don't think I'd know a "clean line" unless it stood up and introduced itself. I didn't look closely at the bottom of the falls. But my bet is that you can do anything in a kayak, so I'm saying you'd totally stomp it!

Perhaps!!!! But with you standing on the lip looking like that, I would totally blow my line because I would be distracted.

Lady, you've got moxie. Slippin' into rivers, battling poisonous snakes, paradin' nekkid in your neighborhood.

Anything for sale nearby?

Pretty classy dress you are almost wearing, are you sure your not the no.1 spectator sport around the creek.

I so enjoy guessing at the meaning of some of your whitewater lingo
now "lip" of the falls, I understand -- and really like

awe inspiring what wonderful place
and the waterfall is cool to

seriously were there birds there, I love to sit in places like that and listen to the planet

listening to the planet... mmm...

YES, lots of birds -- the creek seems to be a greenway for wildlife travel
I've seen Coopers and Redtail hawks, tons of cardinals, bluebirds, bluejays, even a blue heron on occasion. I hear owls, but haven't seen them yet. Deer have come up close to the house to nibble roses, and there has been a coyote party in a grassy area above the creek. Their party apparently included a fight and a feast -- the turf thoroughly torn up... wild...

Moxie -- there's a word from another century... I like it!
make that Avoiding poisonous snakes, but oh yeah to the parading nekkid

in earlier backyard pics, you might have seen the houses overlooking my yard
it's been interesting to notice just how little others notice
so my advice would be Keep Your Eyes Open
there might be unnoticed treasures in your own neighborhood!

Pretty classy dress you are almost wearing, are you sure your not the no.1 spectator sport around the creek.

I even went prepared with wardrobe changes in a bag
saved the silk for safer footing away from the waterfall...

I do like to offer varied entertainment!
from the houses, they'd have to work for the view with binoculars
but I did land right in the middle of that gardener's Wednesday morning workday
woke him right up from his routine...
