Normal procedure is to use sedation. An IV knocks you out, they do the six injections into the spine, they add something to wake you up, and after an hour of resting, you go home.

I don't use sedation. I walk into the room, the doctor gives me the six injections into my spine, they monitor my BP for twenty minutes, I walk out to my car and drive home.

I do this about every two or three months.
