Note to self: remember today when you need a reminder about how not to overthink and just jump in.

(It worked! It really fucking worked!!!!)

Mmmm......chips and salsa before enchiladas.

I thought 'Salza' was a kind of dance craze from - where else - South America.

Obscure thought:
Doers anyone else get strange telephone calls in accents strange from foreign parts purporting to be a survey on "lifestyle" ?
I just got one this morning from someone in somewhere like Bombay or Delhi (it was a "Goodness Gracious me" accent) and the silly girl, obviously reading off a script sheet, gabbled her questions so I could hardly understand more than one word in five.
Ye gods, do we have to have this sort of thing ?

Champagne

I have just drunk half a bottle of Champagne.

It wasn't very good Champagne. It was Marks and Spencer's Champagne that we have kept too long. We have too much Champagne lying around. Most of the bottles are well past their drinking dates.

One bottle was produced as the Official Champagne for the Bicentennial of the French Revolution. I was presented with it for loaning artefacts for a museum exhibition about the French Revolution - in 1989, 24 years ago. At the opening of the exhibition a man dressed as a French Revolutionary Cavalryman opened bottles of that Champagne with his sabre.

Cutting the cork with a sabre isn't very efficient and is wasteful.

Even in 1989 the Champagne wasn't very good, but it became the 'Official' Champage because the vintners sponsored events all over France.

Now where did I put the Havana Cigars to take away the taste of sub-standard Champagne?

I still want to look at her Facebook profile every day or two. It might be worse than my gambling addiction, the compulsion to look and find something definitive, even though we haven't seen each other in a while, or spoken in months. It's obsessive and ridiculous.

The candy man can so he mixes it with flan
And a dozen toucans while he sprinkles it with ham
The candy man can so he bakes it in a pan
Then he shoves it down your throat with an armadillo hand

The candy man can
The candy man can
